Kitty Treats
(from www.AnnClark.com)
Note: Can be made with or without catnip
Contains milk.

Combine:
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/4 cup white flour
2 Tb. wheat germ
1/3 cup powdered milk
1 tsp. catnip
Gradually add:
2 eggs
1/3 cup milk
4 Tb. vegetable oil

Mix until all ingredients are well blended. Don't be afraid to use your hands. If a little too dry, add more milk. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Pat to 1/2 inch thickness on a floured board. Cut using your favorite Ann Clark Cookie Cutters. Bake 25-30 minutes. Allow to cool and harden. Store in tins or storage bags.
Yield: 12 large shapes or 24-36 small shapes.

Me and mama are going to make Christmas cookies next week now!
Mama said grandma has some mini cookie cutters in Christmas shapes we can use, and all mama needs to buy for the cookies in the whole wheat flour, wheat germ, powdered milk and maybe catnip(I think she should use the catnip *hint hint*)

tuna treat
take a can of tuna and smash it up good , save the liquid
then take an egg and mash it in good
roll it into balls.. and then press it down with a fork

bake in oven at 350 for 45 minutes to make sure egg cooks....

Cat-mix-nip

1/2 cup garlic-salt-nip
1 lb. shaved cheese (cheader,sharp, any kind)
2 lbs. shaved nuts
3 lbs. fish, raw or baked
3 lbs. chicken, roasted and crumbled
3 lbs. beef, ground, browned, crumbled
5 lbs. Peru brand Cat-nip
30 containers of Pounce treats, soft and crunchy

mixed together shaved nuts, nip, fish, beef,
nip, fish, chicken, and a dash of nip
slowly roasted to perfection (300 degrees) - turn every 15min. for an hour, so it all gets toasted.
While still warm -
top with a dash of nip salt, shaved cheese, pounce treats

Store in plastic tubs, plastic bags or anything that will hold it. Will not go bad, keep in cool place with a cover to keep fur out of it.


PS. if you run out of the catnip, please contact Bear before Nov. of any year, so he can get more, special blend, not every kittie can get.

Hi Carbon,

Just doing my part to please the masses. Besides it's too good to keep to myself. The only hitch is you need the "special catnip" from Peru. Any other brand won't taste the same. So just let me know when you need more. I go in Nov. to restock my supply. smile

Here's an easy-squeazy kitty birthday cake:

Take a can of fancy catfood. Like Sheba, because they are small, and they are designed to pop out of the can whole. Also, they are squarish, so it doesn't look like a can.

1- Pop the can of square catfood out onto a plate.
2- Frost the cake with whipped cream or cool-whip.
3- Sprinkle a little catnip for effect (and also to ensure eating by the cat of honor)
4- Insert candle (I recommend just one, no matter how old the cat is)
5- Sing "Happy Birthday"
6- Remove candle (don't let the cat have the candle lit or not)
7- Let the birthday cat have the cake!

TASTY CAT CLAWS
From Three Dog Bakery Cookbook
Makes 18 treats

1/4 cup warm water
5 tablespoons parmesan cheese
3 tablespoons soft margarine
1 tablespoon cod liver oil
1 cup white flour
1/4 cup soy flour

Preheat oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
Combine water, cheese, margarine and oil.
Add flour and form a dough.
Roll to 1/4 inch thick and cut with cookie cutter.
Bake at 300 degrees on an ungreased cookie sheet for 20-25 minutes or until cookies are lightly golden.
