Dutchess, wood it disrupt the heet pattern to keep the fireplace berning all nite? Then Santa and Rudolph won't even stop by, and with the hole howse showing heet, Rudolph won't be abul to detekt us.

I hate not to git anything frum Santa, but the alternutiv is just so much WERSE!!!

Skeezix,
I don't think it is necessary to keep a fire burning all night to keep Rudolph away. It will PROBABLLY work very well, but there's no reason to believe it will work any better than snuggling up next to the back of a refrigerator, on an operating clothes dryer, near a laptop charger pack, on top of a TV or next to a person.
Plan to allow Santa to visit unless I can disprove my hiding suggestions.

I am so sorry to inform you that you are NOT safe from the vishus reindeer either! Come Friday evening, the vishus reindeer begin their test flights for 8 nights. Perhaps is *NOT* a coincidence that these are the same 8 nights of Chanukah this year!
DO be careful! You MUST stay informed and aware! Perhaps stitting near the glow of the candles in the menorah (heat source!), you may be able to hide from the IR sensor.
There is no discrimination when it comes to kitties and the vishus deer / vishus reindeer!

I dunno ... I don't think that I want to miss a visit from Santa Claws just because of a little vishus deer threat. I mean, I AM young and juicy, but I figure that I can rub up against Fudge Ripple because he's a geezer cat and vishus deer don't eat geezer cats ... If I can get enough of his geezer-ocity on me, maybe I can mask my deliciousness for just one night, right? I've asked Santa for 'nip, jingle balls, and some Temptations Dentabites ... I don't want to risk not getting them in my stocking.
