Hi Everyone,

Come on in! We just finished our Reading Room where everyone is welcome to come in and relax, meet friends to chat and discuss the book we are reading. And, it will be here where we will meet every first Thursday of the month to discuss our books.

Let me show you around. In the center of the room is a large low round table with comfy chairs where we will sit to discuss our book. The walls are filled with books and there are lots of very pretty catnip plants here and there on the shelves. (Use sparingly please). There are also several large lounge chairs for those kitties who would like to come in and read. We know sometimes there is too much noise and confusion at home that prevents us from being able to read. By the large windows are small table and chairs for any kitties who want to do any research or just enjoy the beautiful view outside. Last buy not least, there is a very tiny kitchen right off the reading room stocked full of water and a tiny stove for anyone who'd like to make a warm cup of tea or cocoa. And, of course, the restrooms are down the hall.

Please feel at home and stop by often especially if you'd like to chat with kitties during the month about the book, post a question before our meeting, or just enjoy a nice warm quiet place to relax.

Hiya Toulouse! You got your book already? Well, I didn't order mine until Friday night/Saturday morning, so not sure when mine's coming. I did get an email saying I could track it tomorrow. Hope I get it before the weekend, cuz Mommy is going to Grandma's house and leaving me at home *gasp* so I can read all weekend!

*pads over to the chair next to Sash, yawns, turns around three times, curls up, flips tail over nose, tuckers down for a good long nap*

Ooo, I finally got to the first seeker part, where they read others to find the truth! I didn't know what to expect, and I really liked it! I can't wait for more!!

I can understand how a non-cat person can be intimidated by a cat staring at him. Imagine the intimidation of a 40 lb. ghatta staring at you. *chuckle*

Yes. That would be quite freaky having this huge cat boor into your mind!
I like the little gold seeker earings that the seeker and ghatta wear. They're really neat!

Wow, can you imagine what we could find out if we were able to bore into someone's thoughts and read their minds. I thought it was hysterical when Ivor and Timor were blocking Khar's ability to read their minds by blocking Khar with the thought of FISH. That was really funny.

Needless to say, this book is so enjoyable. I think everyone agrees!!

I'm not really into sci-fi, but I'm kind of starting to get into it. I really need to hurry and read today, or have Mommy read instead of doing laundry! Who needs clean clothes when you have to catch up to the other cats!
I'm only at the part after Oriel dies and Doyce goes, with Khar, of course, to see his body and say goodbye. I really have to hurry to catch up! It was just that Mommy had a hard time getting into it at first

Hey Squeaks,
I think lots of kitties had troubles with the first part, but it's SO worth it to keep going. Further along now, I find that the intro was very helpful in understanding events and different people/ghatti reactions as the story goes on...

I really liked the fish blocking too! I just met Parm last night - I can see why he's one of your favorites, Aragorn. Then I got to the barn... Whoa!
