I thought this would be a good topic. The topic this week will be where did you come from.

Ruby came from a cattery in Russia, in fact, Danica came from the exact same Cattery. It was located in Moscow and the line of Taiga cats come from the cattery.

Arina & Lilly come from Maria Pavlovsky's Cica Cattery here in Indiana. I know at one point she was the only breeder here in Indiana.

All 4 are purebred Russian Siberians which are the requirements for the group and for me which was important due to my extreme allergies and my love for this breed.

Please share your story. Love, Lilly Ruby Danica and Arina

Natasha came from a breeder in Quebec Canada - ST. Thomas Siberians. She was the only female in her litter. They called her Berry before we changed it to Natasha. Her mothers name was Shakira and her father was Morpheus aparently both were show cats. The breeder said she was very friendly but Natasha is very shy, quiet and nervous, she is only opening up now after 3 years. I have tried to contact the breeder to send pictures of Natasha - as she asked for updates - but they seemed to have vanished off the planet! Not a good sign!

Fitch came from a breeder in Welland, Ontario. As I mentioned in his profile, I don' t get him for another 12 days, but I've visited him and he seems sweet and playful. It was impossible to choose since the whole litter was gorgeous. But I thought he was the most unique. There were three blue mackeral tabbies, one blue and white girl, a red mackeral tabby, and a very beautiful cream and white boy.. no, I'm not referring to my Fitch, although he's the one who caught my eye. The whole litter is very friendly and not at all skittish. His parents are also excellent well behaved cats. I'm looking forward to bringing my little bundle home in upcoming weeks.

I came from White's Farm, a Siberian breeder in New Hampshire. When my Mom saw my beautiful blue eyes, she just instantly fell in love! And then she fell in love again and brought home my sister Coco.

I came from a breeder in Maryland, Reigning Cats cattery - I orignally went home with another family, but their little girl couldn't breathe around me, so I went back to the cattery. My mom and dad were on a waiting list for a kitten, so the breeder sent them my picture, and they fell in love at first sight!

They went back a few months ago to get my bratty little brother, Mischa. I might forgive them for that. Someday...

I came from a breeder here in Saint-Petersburg, so unlike many of you I didn't have to travel long. Now my mom belongs to the same cat club with that breeder so I have news on my cat mother and siblings occasionally. And I won against my sister on a cat show, meow!

Well, I don't have the exciting breeder stories all of you have, I came from the Springfield, Massachusetts MSPCA. I was adopted by my mom who then did research as to what breed I might be. According to the books she's read and the vet agrees with her - I'm a Siberian. I don't know if I'm Russian or not, or even if there's such a thing as a Non-Russian Siberian, but I sure do hope I am. I would feel like an imposter being in this group otherwise.

I am the only cat in the house out of 4 who can sleep on my mom's pillow without her sneezing. I am also the only one alowed to sleep on her bed with her. She's not allergic to me at all! Everyone else has to keep their distance.

Hello Sulley,
no, I think there is no such thing as non-Russian Siberian since the breed has its origin in my country. And your appearance reminds me of my son who is definitely Russian Siberian. So you belong here, don't worry!

Hi Rousinka! Thanks, and may I say that you look very much like my sister, Amya. She's a tiny little thing, but your coloring is identical - right down to the black stripe down your backs and the fur on your tails. Thanks for making me feel like I belong.
