I have tried bleach, vinegar, baking soda, and Nature's Miracle (both regular and advanced formulas) and none of them have worked. The smell might seem gone to me, but since the spots are re-visited time and time again, I know it's not really gone.

Pickles suggested "123 Odor Free Kit" from justrite.com so I am going to try that. I also read other online reviews about how well this kit works, but I wanted to get a feel for what others have used successfully.

Suggestions?

I have used Nature's MIracle stain & odor remover"now with breakthrough lifting power" It took the stain & smell out of concrete, and I have been using it when someone ahem (Maizy) spritzes over the box. Not sure if you tried it this way, but I noticed that after I do a first cleaning, I spray the Natures Miracle wipe, then spray it again liberally & let it dry without wiping it up. If you find something good, let us know!

I have it for you, just started this and WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! here it is...VODKA, darn if it doesn't work. Someone told me, I laughed, tried it in desperation...WOW. My cat ALWAYS returned using the same products as you. So the cheapest bottle i could find and with no lasting smell, tried. For three weeks now No return what so ever, no accidents. I am happy

I use Pure Ayre to remove the smells when accidents happen. You need to use a cleaner first with it, as it isn't too good about getting stains out unless you spray it the moment it happens, but it takes care of odors like magic. It can also be used in a similiar way to Febreeze, and we spritz it in the bathroom where the cat box is kept when company comes over to get rid of any lingering smells. I love it so much!

Well since the Nature's Miracle did not work, I will tell you what I use. I shop at a place called Gem Supply; http://www.gemsupply.net/ and I use Spartan Consume Eco-Lyzer Neutral Disinfectant.
This is who makes it; http://www.uclean.com/catalog/manufacturer/spartan_chemical-1.html
If you can find a store near you, you can buy one Gal and not all 4.
It is $14.95 per Gallon, highly concentrated. We call it cookie dough spray, as it smells like Sugar Cookies.
"Eliminates foul odors caused by urine, feces, blood, vomit, food spills, garbage and grease; removes blood, urine and other difficult stains from carpet; deodorizes clogged drains..keeps them open; assists efficient operation of grease traps. Maintains drains and grease traps. Unique vanilla fragrance. Certified salmonella free. Non-toxic, non-polluting. Biodegradable. Phosphate free.
Spartan Chemical"
If you want any more info, please feel free to ask Meowma.Or contact "uclean" for more info.
Good luck and please let all of us know what you decide to do and what worked.! No Meowma does NOT work for them, she works for The NUTRO Company, doing the in store demos and such, part time.

Winston....so you put the vodka in a spray bottle and spray the area?? I am going to give it a try, and get the cheapest brand I can find. And, living in the Greater New Orleans area, I can buy alcohol everywhere - from the convenience store at the gas station, grocery store and even the drug store.

Will keep you all posted.

I'm glad to hear you may be trying the 123 Odor Free! If none of the other cheaper options work for you, I know that will. I couldn't be happier with the results....the hardest part is the time it takes to find all the spots, but when it's done it'll be like it never was there! Good luck to you.

Oh, and I just wanted to say that I'm not bashing Nature's Miracle or any other remedies, as I still use Nature's for doggy accidents on my hard floors, but cat urine is in a class all it's own! hail
