	Our sweet lou went unexpectedly yesterday due to cardiomyotrophy. I am absolutely heartbroken and feel like I failed him. I've never lost a pet before and am absolutely devastated.

	We all understand your pain, everyone on CATSTER has lost a furbaby to illness, accident, old age, etc. The hurt will slowly heal, and as others have said, there is no way you could have known how serious Louie's condition was. The four cats I lost in Hurricane Katrina were there to greet him, along with all the other CATSTER kitties at the Rainbow Bridge. One day, when he knows you are ready, Louie will send you another kitten or cat to help fill the hole in your heart. Please do continute to post, sharing you grief with others certainly helps (I KNOW that), and everyone on CATSTER is so caring and understanding about pet loss. 	Many hugs to you...our cousin Pat the Buttercat passed unexpectely-our auntie came into the room to find him gone. He was a happy and seemingly healthy cat, thoough chunky. He was never sick. Sometimes there are just things that our humans have no control over..and though they do their best, and love us very much, and we do know it, we just have 'stuff' that makes our lives this time around shorter.
