	I lost my black cat, Moon in October, 2010. He was hit by a car (right near our driveway) and my husband brought him home to me. He is sleeping now by the brook. I wrote this poem for him: My black cat Moon Born in June Laid on my chest He was the best! My black cat Moon Slept in my room Played in the loft He was so soft! My black cat Moon Toys always strewn Silky black fur Loved to purr! My black cat Moon Silly little loon Muddy prints in the tub I’d have to scrub! My black cat Moon Came round at noon Played with frogs Teased my dogs! My black cat Moon Meowed in tune Picked at the screen But not to be mean! My black cat Moon Left me too soon! Good night my little Moon
