Believe me Sundance, they were very scared that they were going to find a place in time. Dad found the listing on craigslist. Dad went to fill out an application on Wednesday and be interviewed. There were two other people being interviewed too. Mom didn't get to go; she had to close, The owner is a firefighter and he lives out of town. He doesn't mind all of us being there, so mom and dad thought that was pretty lucky, so they figured they shouldn't press their luck.

Mom and dad have to pay $600 for pet deposit and first month's rent and I think another deposit???thinking
The owner is going to put in hardwood floors and paint the whole place before mom and dad move in. Mom is excited about the hardwood floor--she is very tired of carpet.

wow, that was lucky and FAST! Good thing, though, sometimes it's hard to find a place that will accept pets.
but then, who's calling us "pets" anyway!

Auntie Jen's boyfriend Gary is now moving into our building in June. He has only been thinking about moving for a few months and boom, he's in! It took Mistress TWO YEARS to get her apartment! eek
They were going to let her in a month after she filled out the application, but she couldn't get out of her old lease in her old building, so she was movied to the bottom of the list.
That was 9 years ago! laugh out loud

Just the other day Mom was thinking that our house is close to 100 years old. Momsmomsdad built it and he said he built it to last!! big grin

Mom always thinks if ever a tornado was approaching, head for the part of the house that her granddad built. She thinks it would be strong enough to handle a tornado! shock

Wow, Sterling--100 years! shock

Mom's dad built their house in 1971 when mom was a year old. It was a huge brick house. Mom's mom always complained that mom's dad never finished the house! You know carpenters always finish other people's projects before they finish their own! laugh out loud

Today is Kiki's Rainbow Bridge Day. cry It is also the day that dad's mom died in 1998. Mom didn't remind dad. He would get too upset.
