This is a special section for cats needing new homes and for inspiring stories of cats that have found their furever home through Catster or through the love and energy of rescuers. This is also the place to discuss shelters, rescue organizations, rescue strategies, issues, solutions, etc. and how we can all help in this critical endeavor. Remember that we are all here for the love of cat! If you are posting about a cat that needs a new home, please put your location in the topic of your thread so those close by can find you! The humane society in our area just sent this out in one of their newsletters.

1. Take 3 or 4 single sheets of newspaper stacked on top of each other.
2. Fold the stack in half on the mid fold line (where the paper was folded when you got it)
3. Place your thumbs and forefingers on one corner of the folded section, so that your thumbs meet tip to tip and your forefingers also meet tip to tip as they outline the corner edges of the newspaper. Your thumbs will go straight across the corner, forming a triangle of paper at the corner.
4. Now, slide your forefingers under the layers of paper and away from each other.
5. Press in toward the thumbs, lifting the layers of paper toward the thumbs.
6. Push your left forefinger and thumb with paper in between them toward right forefinger and thumb.
7. Wrap around right forefinger. Slide right forefinger out and pinch the paper you had wrapped around it.
8. Staple this folded paper to the edge it is folded against. Staple so that the ends of the staple face away from the inside.
9. Repeat on all corners -- only folding up about an inch of paper to form the edge of the litter pan.
