We need your help! Mom just heard on the news that they arrested a woman involved with an animal cruelty case. She starved her 4 dogs and 2 cats to death and then froze 3 of the dogs and the cats in her freezer, leaving the other dog to just decay upstairs. this woman could face jail time or a fine. Who can mom write to to make sure she gets the jail time!!

The key in the article is her house is in foreclosure. So she may have been poor, or she may have mental issues. Many times people will try to give their animals to a shelter and they are denied. They can't afford to feed themselves, much less the animals.

It's very very sad for the animals - but that amount of animals does not sound like a hoarder at all.

We would like to hear more about the Investigation.

A sad Apache that the animals suffered

If you can find out which Judge is hearing the case you can write to them

here is a link to the Judges in the Rochester City Court where her case is to be heard

I can't find any information about the prosecutor for her case, but if you do I would write to them as well!

My caretaker is one of the growing ranks of the working poor, but he can still make the effort to get to a local market each month by bus to get all of us food. There is no real excuse to let an animal starve. There are also Dollar stores that sell cat food. My caretaker would rather do without than let any of us go hungry. After all we're all members of the same community. Society can be judged by how well they respect other life. History has shown that people who like cats are more likely to treat other people better and people who don't are more likely to be beasts themselves. I believe cat lovers and others who like cats are more likely to be more tolerant and in some cases smarter than those that do not. One prime example is Mark twain. For the other is Adolf Hitler.
