 | |  | | My mommy has a very good online friend named Nora. Nora is Mommy to a lot of furchildren (both bunnies and kitties).
Not long ago, Mommy says, Nora and her fiancee discovered that one of their kitties, a beautiful girl named Mary, has leukemia. It is NOT "feline leukemia"--it is the same kind of leukemia that humans get!!  (I did not know that could happen, but that is what Mary's vet says!).
They have been treating Mary with chemo and the same kinds of treatments that humans with leukemia get. Then the other day, Nora got home from work and found Mary almost gone.  She rushed her to the vet and they now feel that chemo is not helping her, and it looked like blood transfusions were not helping much either.
BUT--Nora told Mommy that the last blood transfusion does seem to be helping Mary some. Nora and her fiancee were afraid they were going to lose Mary very soon, but she is now doing somewhat better.
Still, Mary is a very very sick little kitty, and she really really needs us to purr hard and pray for her. Her Mommy and Daddy love her very much and would be so very sad to lose her.
Will you all please purr VERY hard and say a prayer that Mary will beat the leukemia??? Her mommy is a person of great faith (she is actually a preacher lady!!) and Mommy and I know she would appreciate prayers and purrs for her Mary SO VERY MUCH!!
My Mommy is praying for little Mary, and I am purring as hard as I can for her!

But now with my new meds, and all the purrs and prayers, my doctor says he is ASTOUNDED by how great I am doing!!! 
Now Mommy smiles and laughs all the time, and she keeps telling me what an amazing girlie I am!! 
). So we know that purrs and prayers do work!!
