That's good to hear Eko. Bella I don't know, that's a tough one. I'm also trying to decide whether to remove it from my list of foods on my website. I mean, what do I do here? I think as long as you're doing okay, don't switch immediately unless you do vomit or anything. Then get off of it. But maybe in the meantime your mom should start looking for another food. I know, big pain. The list of safe foods gets smaller and smaller!

Bump!!! What goes on? I hope you're okay!!! I'll have to pawmail you. shock

We've ate regular NB dry and a variety of the wet (not fish)for years without any problems. NB duck and green pea dry did cause major problems, so we've stuck with the normal dry one. We'll keep a close eye on the food though from now on.

I feed some of the wet, and I noticed the chicken & green pea which Smitty used to LOVE, seems very pale in color & pasty now, and last time Smitty had it, he vomited it all, and he won't eat it anymore - or the chicken & liver or turkey & giblets ones either. I had thought he just ate too fast that night. hmmmmm

I found MOLD in the Natural Balance Grain Free DRY, chicken and duck. I believe its the Alpha cat. My two kitties where throwing up a ton for a week. Once i reached the bottom of the bag I found four kibbles held together by MOLD. The company gave me many excuses every day they seemed to change their story.

The first thing they told me was it didn't happen at the factory there must have been a hole in the bag. Second was that they must have bagged the food while it was still wet. Third was that in "transport" it must have happened. Its cold where I live, so the bag must have frozen. So what is this, a summertime food? The complaints I've read on the food are out of control. Each phone call they also told me how easily there food can form mold. Which is scary!

I also noticed my cats not eating there wet food. They would become VERY excited when i would get ready to make their wet food, add water, and mix it up. It seems like once it got on the floor my female would smell it and walk away. My male would eat it a bit then the female would come over for a little bit. Normally they both finished their bowls.

I'm not sure what is going on with the company but i cannot begin to explain how upset i am they are not handling this differently. Even if this happened in transport why are they not notifying people of this. Its NOT ok for cats to eat MOLD and if this was in ONE bag it would be in others. I didn't even notice it at first and i watch there food closely!

If they could correct the darn issue I would trust them enough to feed my cats there food. I can't even begin to explain how angry I am. I have a female that is VERY sensitive to everything. I even have to watch my laundry soap. This food worked very well for them at a point. Now they have been drastically taken off of that and switched around to other foods. Its BS if you ask me! I am not happy.

Thanks for posting this. We had some heinous litterbox issues here, but were chalking it up to holiday stress -- didn't even think of the food! But looking back, the issues started around the same time Meowmy bought this food. No more for us!

My kitty with IBS has been on this Natural Balance Pea and Duck dry for the past 5 years. He has allergies, it seems, to fish, chicken, and turkey so our choices were limited and this was a godsend. That is until about 6 months ago when he began to lose weight and have blood in his stool. I thought it was his IBS acting up and so did our vet after much testing. I never thought it could be the food making him sick. But when our other cat started to have looser and looser stools I started to wonder. He can eat anything and never has a problem. Well I switched both cats to Blue Buffalo Basics Duck and Potato and almost overnight the visible blood in my IBS stools disappeared. He still has somewhat loose stools, but at least he's not loosing blood with every BM. My other cat's stools are now just fine. I'm not sure what they have done recently to the formula for this food, but it sure angers me that this food made for sensitive allergy prone cats would be modified so haphazardly. I have noticed a color change in the last 6 months. I trusted they would do what is best for my cats health. I was sadly mistaken and my cat has been suffering because of it.
