|MOL! Good idea!
Many of the recalls have come from companies outsourcing their manufacturing. Changes are made without the companies knowledge - which is what happened to Blue Buffalo and others.
Evo already has it's own plant, contracts for supplies, etc. P & G will have to honor them all as part of the acquisition. I work with acquisitions all the time at work, and understand how they work.
Not all pet food companies are evil - Purina has never had a recall.
Diamond Foods also similar to Natura - small family owned - was the first to go through a mess. They had 24 hours vets on call to talk/work with people. Their quality control is now above/beyond the FDA standards. They took full responsibility for the problem, and their own employees were devestated by suffering of so many pets.
I buy Chicken Soup for the Cat Lovers Soul for the rest of the gang, because I have faith in the company.
I still feel we need to give P & G a chance - and wish the owners of Natura a happy & healthy retirement. Thank them for their hard work & caring in creating a dry food even cats like Morgan can have.
