Cat's Personalities And YOURS

If you are wondering what is the right cat for you, this is the place to be. In this introductory forum we talk about topics such as breed vs. mix, size, age, grooming, breeders, shelters, rescues as well as requirements for exercise, space and care. No question is too silly here. This particular forum is for getting and giving helpful, nice advice. It is definitely not a forum for criticizing someone else's opinion, knowledge or advice. This forum is all about purring and learning.

Hey! I'm Siamese and I'm not crazy and goofy! Although I am not a purebred meezer, I am mixed with something, I'm not sure, but my Mistress says my coat is too long to be a full meezer. Maybe part Himalayan? I am more docile and sleepy, and only get really active and "crazy" when Squeakers, my new sibling is involved and we fight.
She is an American Shorthair, or Medium Hair, we're not sure. She is more curious than anything, like most cats are, but she is sleepy and a lap cat or I like that term "lappy lap lap cat!" too, but she likes to be picked up and petted, I don't mind being petted, but on MY terms! I hate being picked up!
Although coloration shouldn't and doesn't really purrtain to the way we act, Squeakers is a calico and likes to "nibble" on Mistress, some people say calicoes are mean, but she isn't, she just has nothing to do with her teeth! Some say calicoes like plastic more than tohers too, Squeakers is crazy about plastic bags! Squeakers also likes mischief, and knows how to get into trouble, I am not too good at that!

Maine Coon timid?!?!? That's the first I heard of that. I know them to be almost pushy when they wan tyou to pet them and then are great with kids.

It's tough to know exactly how environment will drive behavior. I never knew Marley was a jumper or climber until we finally got enough high things in the house for her to climb on.
