Best enclosure if your cat ever needs surgery

This forum is for cat lovers seeking everyday advice and suggestions on health-related issues. Remember, however, that advice on a public forum simply can't be a substitute for proper medical attention. Only your vet can say assuredly what is best for your cat.

Our cat had patella surgery this spring, and we first bought a metal cage for him because he had to be extremely limited in his activity for six weeks. He hated the cage, we hated the cage, and then a friend who works for a cat rescue group suggested BestPet's pet play pen.

It changed our Sugar's quality of life enormously for six weeks. It's round and soft rather than retangular and hard; it opens for very easy access, and it's absurdly easy to clear. I can't recommend it enough. Why every vet, especially orthopedists, don't carry them for sale is beyond me.

I can't find a website for the company, but we bought ours online, and here's a link to see what it looks like: http://www.amazon.com/Best-Pet-Folding-Play-Pen/dp/B002ABO2HE
