Oh, I didn't want to write to you......what I have to say is all bad news.......

I had a beautiful little three month old British Shorthair (blue) he was my love....his name was Lionel Rees-Mogg and he was really blue....we suddenly realised that his eyes were not right...one had an open pupil, the other was closed............. He had the dry FIP....

We had to have him put down (not put to sleep....put down) because we had three other cats and we did not want them to be infected.....

I gave up on God when Lionel had to be put down......no God would allow such a beatiful creature to be 'got rid of'........

Any help or good ideas out there......(The neuthanazing of Lionel was the ultimate in (the last of) my belief in any sort of God.......

Any thoughts out there......?

Tambolina

ps. I am very young and gentle.....it is my human person who finds life very difficult because she is older and has seen more and knows
more......

I am not sure about Siamese being more prone to seizures, but one of my fursisters, Sybil, has seizures. She is a Siamese mix. I am putting my Mom on to explain.

Short of having a cat scan the vet has deteremined there is not a cause for this. We have found that stress triggers them more frequently. In as stress free environment we can provide we find she has them occassionally, versus before when she had at least one seizure one week. I hope and pray this turns out to be something other FIP.

Did you have your cat on meds for the seizures? Poor Ashley had another one last night. It is so heartbreaking. Afterwards, he was fine, purring like crazy and being normal Ashley.

He's going to the specialist today.

FIP is a very hard disease to control and find out if your cat really has it. They suggest you have them tissue tested. I was and it came back positive for Dry FIP. I lived for 17 1/2 years. I had my ups and downs.

The information the kitties are giving you is very good. Years ago they did not know all of this. I just died a couple of years ago. Wet FIP does produce fluid in the organs but it can be drained.

We are purring for you. There is a group that is called FIP Support I believe.

Good Luck!
