I'm beginning to wonder whether Mr is a British Shorthair as we first thought. As you can see, he is not very 'round' which is what this breed is all about.
He is very long, has pointy rather than round ears and face.

Mr was a stray/abandoned cat who adopted us so we don't know his background. Could he be a cross breed?

Hi Mr. Claude ! You are a beautiful gray! Since your eyes are greenish, I think you might be a Russian Blue. Us Brits have deep copper eyes. You sure are handsome....

Beautiful cat! Russian Blue, or Chartreu look. Brits are round-round and if the coat is blue, the eyes are orange. Nice meeting you, you might have some noble Russian background!
