I got an email i guess she is still being bad, but they have another bengal and are use to it. they said the 2 cats get along wich is great. im hoping she relaxes once she has a buddy to play with.

I am sad, she was a nice cat. but if you saw how bald sassy was from fighting with genie, it was the best thing for her to go. It def will make me consider more what kind of cat to bring home. i have saw some i wanted to adopt but with genie i promised to think about it for a long while before i adopt again. I saw a nice kitty i liked but decdeid to wait a while and meet her a few times before i adopt, to avoid another bad match

Meowmy says
I am so sorry that you had to experience that. There is absolutely no shame in rehoming when it is done for the right reasons in my opinion. When it gets to the point where it got with Genie then you have no choice really. It was not a situation where she had some problem behaviors and the rest was fine. Your other cats were suffering and exhibiting signs of deep distress. They deserved to be happy too. You, your resident cats and Genie are all victims of that horrible breeder.
Mary is my half bengal and even though she is half she exhibits some of the behaviors. When she was younger her berserk energy was tiring at times, her desire to eat off my plate and the wildness of her were different. BUT she is half Burmese which totally tames her and gives her sweetness and makes her love to be in my lap.

I always wanted a pure bred cat to experience what it would be like but outside of a few of them I think I will pass. Having a mixed breed is the next best thing because you get some of the breed but less of the breed related problems.

I allowed Meowmy to write the above because she promised to say something nice.

mary

people get upset to hear i rehommed her because they just dont know what was going on, and that i considerd it for a month before i did it.

Tiny and her siblings are mixed oriental, and imo are they best cats anywhere. they are mellow but playfull, a little vocal and loving. if and when i get a purebred, which idk at this point, i will get one that is a closer match to them.

thanks for your words.wave

I'm glad you household is less stressed now and that Genie gets along with the cat at her new home - I hope it turns out to be her home for life.
Please consider it may not have been to do with her breed that the other cats didn't like her - it may just have been that she was the 'one cat too many' in the household.
When you are getting into the realms of four and five cats in a household, it can get start to get very stressful for them as a group.
In households where there are 5 cats and over, you're VERY lucky if they are all happy and relaxed with the situation. There more likely to be inappropriate behaviours related to stress going on, such as scratching/urine marking, the more cats you add to a situation.
I know the temptation for cat lovers is to 'just get one more' and with so many homeless cats, it often seems the right thing to do but it's not always the best thing for the cats.

I agree with Soda. The magic number seems different for every household, but you may have reached yours. I understand that Sassy is actually welcoming to the fosters you keep, but it may be that she understands that they will leave eventually, whereas with Genie she knew that she would have to stay, and was unhappy about the situation.

I'd love to get more kitties, but I'm limited not just by the fact that I don't have space and a partner who agrees to more, but also by the fact that Boris already went on a hunger strike when Gracie moved in. If I added another cat, he'd be liable to make himself sick over it. He's accepted Gracie, but I definitely have to watch the amount of attention she gets: when Boris thinks she is getting more than she should be, he has become visibly upset (thus bringing in a new kitty wouldn't be fair to either of them, because Gracie would get even less attention, too). It's not impossible that you've reached your total number of permanent resident cats.
