Ginger at Catster

I wanted to see other kitties at Catster such as Jeter Harris, so I joined, and I have read Dogster also and I love Stormy B. Loved a very nice doggie with Angel wings now, at Dogster. My name was Dandelion when I was at the Humane Society and my daddy changed my name to Ginger because of my ginger colours. He calls me his Ginger Girl. My sisters are Serena, Tabatha and Elsa. My brother Felix got his Angel wings March 2, 2009 and he was 18.75 years old (almost 19!). My daddy loved Felix and he loves all of US too!

Vacuum Girl

Last night my daddy was vacuuming around my little litter box and he was on his knees, and he has experienced kitties running away when a vacuum cleaner is turned on. So he thought this will be a lonely job. After a few minutes of loud vacuuming I got curious and I slithered past my daddy and he wondered what he felt that was furry, brushing past him. It was me! And I sat on a little box, watching daddy vacuuming my little area, making sure he does it right, and not scared one bit about that ol' vacuum cleaner! Now I'm his little Vacuum Girl!

A Grinning Kitty

I have been sitting at the top of the stairs a long time, many hours, since yesterday, but it's nothing to worry about because I have a smile on my face. I'll let my daddy know what it is pretty soon and then I will have him do some typing for me here :o)

Tyson! And the Sitter

On Friday May 8, 2009, I was smiling here, because on May 7/09 I got me a new brother named Tyson. He is a white kitty but has an orange tail and orange on his face and legs. I think he likes orange creamsicles because of the milk that's in them but it looks like he overdoes it! For the first 10 days he's with us he has to be in a room alone which is what the Humane Society told us. I did that too when I first lived with daddy. And I am the perfect little mommy kitty to Tyson now, because I lie outside the door, day and night, and play pawsies under the door, with Tyson's paws. Sometimes daddy calls me the perfect babysitter; I mean kittysitter!

Tyson, My Brother

I got to meet my new 1 year old brother, Tyson, face to face on Monday, May 18/09. Since he is new to our house, when his first 10 days with us was over, he no longer had to be separated from the rest of us anymore. When we met we stared at each other, with no hissing, I casually walked into his room and used his new Cat scratcher. He likes to lie down on it but I know how to USE it! I still always sleep outside his bedroom door, at the top of the stairs, even though he's not in the room anymore. He's always roaming all over the house and likes to chase and play with my sister Elsa. He also likes to lie down a lot and he is often sitting in the window upstairs. He is a very calm little boy and we like having him with us! My daddy can still always find me cat-napping at the top of the stairs. When I'm hungry I do not leave the kitchen at ALL, until I'm fed. Those are the two places I can be found at (lately! Some of us kitties change our favorite places every few months.).

CALVIN

We like to read sweet Rocky Ann's diary and love her for sending gifts! Today we see she had posted sad news about dear Calvin, who we had also fallen in love with. We are crying, but know Calvin is healed and he has all of our hearts right there with him, all nice and warm around him. Bless you sweet baby, you come and visit us anytime in our dreams. xx oo

Who Needs a Bath Tub?

My daddy always notices me washing up my sister Elsa. He thinks that silly because she's a white long haired kitty who is so white and clean she does not need any more washing than necessary. But Elsa creeps over to me and I wash her up proper! I haven't changed much: I'm still a very mothering young little kitty to my brother and sisters (some of them!).

Rocky Ann Forever

We are very sad to lose a lovely, sweet friend on Catster, named Rocky Ann. She was 18 and a real fighter, generous and friendly. We could not help ourselves, but we had to read her diary every day and see her beautiful pictures. We will miss her forever, and we will always just love love love her. Whenever we see Hello Kitty, or the color pink, or see a kitty in a stroller, or hear the "Rocky Balboa" theme, we will think of Rocky Ann always. We hope she will come back and visit us on Catster. Oreo Came Home!

Good news! Oreo (Catster #175963) came home! She was missing since April 2/10 - she was gone 11 days! This shows when kitties get lost outside, how scared they become and so dis-oriented that they're not even sure if they are in their own back yard or not. Her mom had come home to find the window screen pushed out of the window and Oreo was gone. The loss her Mom must have felt not knowing where her kitty was...this will make us all double-check our screens! Oreo's diary shows many ways her Mom spent time day by day, in trying to find Oreo - such as leaving food in a trap, and so on...Her Mom wrote in the diary today, "I went outside to check on the trap and SHE was inside of it, crying to me, so vocal. She knew me the minute she saw me. She was skinny of course, and full of ticks...I'll have to get her to the vet, she looks good and went right to the food and water. She looks so tired and all my other animals were apprehensive when she came in the house, but SHE'S HOME!" We say: Congratulations to Oreo's MOM!
