Can't believe you departed to the Rainbow Bridge one year ago today, March 5, 2010.
We still remember your gotcha day -- September 5, 1992 -- in detail. The weather was hot and breezy that Labor Day weekend. The wind gently brushed against the leaves of the giant Live Oaks that shaded the Humane Society campus, filling the air with the sounds of heaven's wind chimes.
Walking through the Society's feline compound, we were immediately drawn to the kitten playpen. You were so tiny, so quiet, sitting all alone, all by yourself in that huge playpen filled with rambunctious kittens. When you looked up at us, piercing our souls and hearts with your giant amber eyes ... it was instant love. We knew right then and there, you were the one!
Thank you, dear Rocky, for showering us with almost 18 glorious years of your love! We miss your zooming through the rooms of our earthly homes. But we know you are zooming the heavenly rooms at the Rainbow Bridge.
Missing you forever,
your loving family.

Wow … Hard to believe I’ve been at the Bridge for 10 days. No pain, no blindness, no tummy issues, no pills being rammed down my throat. And, no more dealing with B.Rain Tumor; that’s the best part! Living at the Bridge is almost like being on vacation every day. I’ve got my special streamlined wings; I’ve mastered the art and science of zooming from cloud to cloud and then some – and I go even faster now that I have wings. Mom, if you could see me now, you’d be laughing hysterically.
I get to spend lots of time catching up with my furfamily who arrived at the Bridge long before I made my journey. Oh, mom … you remember Bitchy Lucy? Well, she’s still Bitchy Lucy. Talk about a cat with an attitude! I thought she would have softened when arriving at the Bridge. But no. She’s still ruling the roost! And the legendary DustytheDogcat sends his love. We’re all having a blast, so please don’t worry about us.
The hardest part about being a new Angel is missing my family and Shady and all my Catster furiends on Earth – it’s so hard to say goodbye. However, I am so happy to be free of my old body and all the aches that go with aging. Mom, you made the right decision, that’s for sure!
Since 01/20/2010, seems I had a steady stream of well wishes from many Catster furiends. I see I have a number of ‘Thank Yous’ to send:
