Arrival Story: I had moved to a condo after living for years in apartments. I was thinking of getting a cat. We always had a cat when I was growing up. Then one day I saw a flyer at my church. A Lady was looking for a new home for her cat. The Lady was expecting and had another child already. Her husband and she felt, with the new Baby coming, they wouldn't have enough room for Baby and Mietzi. I went to their house to meet Mietzi and she was shy at first. But after a few minutes curiousity got the best of her and she let me pet her. When I went back a few days later to pick her up she went into her pet carrier all by herself. Her former Momma loved her but I am happy that Mietzi came to live with me. She is a wild one. Loves to run zoomies. But she also loves to snuggle with me and she is a very nice cat.

Bio: Mietzi LOVES to go outside. It's her favorite thing in the world. I always go with her. Mietzi also loves to play with mini-mousies. Mietzi is very bonded to me. She talks alot. If she wants something, she knows how to get my attention either by meowing or tearing up paper or throwing stuff down. Besides the above destructive habits, Mietzi is a joy to have around.
GUEST CAT: Guest Cat doesn't live with us. She just visits off and on.

Happy New Year!!!
How is your new year so far? Day one was pretty OK around here I guess. I didn't do squat.
Mom met with Mr. Gym YMCA again today (have you tried to pronounce his last name? I just can't get it right). Today she learned how to do squat on a machine. If Mom wanted to do squat, she could have stayed right here. I laid around and didn't do squat all day. I think I didn't even get all my daily grooming done. Oh well, it's a holiday. I'll catch up tomorrow. Timo squatted in the box and he did a big, smelly squat. MOL.
Gym also made Mom bike 4 miles and walk/run a mile. I asked her how her bike-ride was because it is so windy today. Mom says she rides indoors and she doesn't actually move from the spot where the bike is. This all sounds very silly to me.
New Years resolution: Go outside even more with Mom. And be a good girl while I'm outside. I did that yesterday. Mom and I went outside, it was 53. We walked around the house, then to my hunting grounds. I got to look around for a while. Then I walked back home all by myself and I walked right into the house after Mom opened the front door. Most of the time Mom has to carry me back, because she wants to go but I'm not done exploring yet.
New Year's kisses and good wishes,
Mietzi

Who is that walking in the door on rubber-legs? Oh, it's Mom. Her new friend Gym did that to her. I always thought you spell that name "Jim". Mom's Gym has a last name too. It's YMCA.
(Brings us back to YMCA by the Village People. Was that fun. Mom was 11 years old and had just started taking English in school. Mom grew up in Germany. YMCA was a big hit on TV. Mom liked the native American best. She always wanted to go to America and live with the native Americans, MOL).
Gym made Mom walk/run a mile and she biked two miles and did some other stuff on machines. The bike is fun because you look at a screen that shows the street where you're driving, like a video game. And you can pass other riders.
Other new boyfriends that Mom has (THIS IS ALL COLETTE'S FAULT, she got Mom started on this):
Mr. Pachelbel is a favorite. Antonio Vivaldi is great. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart gave Mom A little Nightmusic. Hey, I can do night music too. I would be happy to sing at night. Then we have Franz Schubert who didn't get his Symphony finished. His cat must have interrupted him demanding to be fed, and then he forgot to finish the Symphony. I'm having a hard time saying this last guy's name. I hope he doesn't show up too often: Bedrich Smetana. Mom likes his Moldau.
That's it so far. Thanks Colette. My ears are ringing.

For unto us a Child is born;
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of His government and peace
There will be no end.
Upon the throne of David and over His Kingdom,
To order it and establish it with judgment and justice
From that time forward, even forever.
The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.
-------------
Thank you Lord Jesus for coming to us, and living among us.
All this to save us.
Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!
Merry Christmas
