Arrival Story:
Keisha was turned in at our local animal shelter, where I volunteered once a week. She appeared to be a very shy kitty, rather bedraggled looking, stayed in the back of her cage most of the time. Four years prior I had lost the first Siamese I had ever known, my constant companion of fifteen years, whom I had loved with all my heart, and had that love returned day by day. I saw many Siamese kitties come and go during those years at the shelter, but I was waiting for that special one to come along and heal my heart. There was something about this particular little creature that drew me in and I decided to take my chances with her. At home she stepped out of the carrier, took a good look around, her tail shot straight up in the air, [a sure sign that all is well in a cat's world], and all shyness instantly disappeared. After meeting our other four cats she decided that she would prefer to be an only cat and tried to evict the others. That idea met with some resistence on my part and eventually she settled in and learnt to live with them all. In the following months her looks also underwent a metamorphosis, the ugly duckling turned into a swan. Whilst no cat could ever replace that first Siamese, [ whose name , of course, was Keisha], this little mousekins has done wonders for my heart and I love her dearly.

WOOHOO, Cupid's arrow finally went where it was supposed to go all along!! Took a little while, but it was worth the wait. River, who has been known to send admiring glances my way once or twice, has asked me to be his Valentine & I asked him to be mine. He is such a beautiful boy, I love his gorgeous green eyes, especially when they look at me with tenderness, and don't get me started on those floofies...... This is one pawsome mancat! I am soo happy he's mine!
So thank you, Cupid, for sending your arrow our way, I am so glad it finally hit home.

I was a bit wound up there for a while.

A cute girl by name of KLEMY Q-TIP has tagged me!
I've been tagged in a new game! List 5 of the most annoying things your humans can do, then tag 5 friends to do the same and put it in their diaries.
1. Not providing meals on time. Don't they know that it takes a lot of energy to sleep soundly?
2. Closing doors behind them when they leave the room. How can I keep an eye on them & make sure nothing happens if I can't follow them.
3. Touching my tummy. That area is strictly OFF LIMITS!!!
4. Trying to put clothes on me. I find it offensive that anyone would think that a scrap of material should look better than my nature made coat of soft & shiny fur.
5. Sticking a camera in my face. (Although of late I have found that there are merits to these photoshoots). Just don't get too carried away.
