Let me introduce myself. I'm Simba Blue, the real lion king here in Winchester, California. I live with my momma, dad, cute kitty sister Bay-ling (we were adopted from different familys), annoying dog sister Coco, and my two outdoor bunny sisters Arleenton and Grayson. For those of you who are unaware, Winchester, California is in Southern California. The area that I live in has really seen the growing and change with lots of track homes overtaking the farms. There used to be a small herd of bison close by, but sadly, they are all gone. We have also seen forclosures on homes popping up all over the place. This brings me to my first entry....
New neighbors have moved into one of the forclosed homes. I am a indoor cat, although I really long to go outside. I spend a good portion of my day sitting on a small chest that is placed by the sewing room window just so I can watch all of the activities outside. With the new neighbor, has come two new cats. One of the cats, the bold gray guy, keeps coming over to MY house and sprays his scent on MY window. HOW RUDE! I want to go outside so badly and knock some sense in this guy. Everytime he comes around, I go nuts. I claw at the window and have put some rips and holes in the screen. I run through the house looking for a door or window that is open. I grumble and growl. If only I could get out.... Momma says she is tired of the cat pee smell as you walk up to our front door and me acting like a fool, so she bought a thing called a scarecrow that is a motion activated sprinkler to chase the gray cat away from our house. The first time she activated it, she ended up getting soaked with water when she accidently walked in front of it - HeHeHe. Surves her right, as she should of saved her money and just opened the door so I could go outside and protect my kingdom. I'm not a wimp and I have been know to get very nasty if I don't get my way.
One night I managed to escape and went visiting the neighbors. When momma noticed I was missing, she and daddy went outside and started calling for me. Well, I was two houses away inside the neighbors home. Their teenaged boy had found me and took me indoors to visit with them because I did not have on my collar. Momma does not make me wear it often because I am a Ragdoll cat and I have a lions mane. The collar causes nasty knots and tangles. Anyways, I heard my momma calling for me and when I went running to the neighbors door asking to be let out, the father picked me up and attempted to carry me to my momma. When he had me outside, I clawed his arm, just to make sure he knew, that he messed up my hair! I do not like to be picked up and treated like a cat - heck, I'm the lion king. I get very upset when someone touches me, and afterwards, I always lick where they have petted to remove their scent and put my hair back in it's place. My human momma has told me time again, how insulting this behavior is, but really, you have to teach these humans who is in charge, and that is ME, ME, ME.

What a day it was yesterday. We had family and friends over for a BBQ. Of course Grandpa had to bring the two yapping dogs with him when he came. All day long, Heidi the Pom was running all over the place and jumping up on the furniture. She actually made me look like a saint because she was so bad. Mykitty sister Bay-Ling hid the entire day in momma's and daddy's bedroom under their bed. Me, I came out a couple of times just to show everyone how pretty I am but didn't let them pet me. It's not that I'm not friendly, just picky about who is allowed to mess up my hair. I get upset when someone mess it up. Imagine how you would feel after combing your hair into a fashionable style and someone comes over and messes it up.
Hope all of you had a wonderful Fourth of July. I'm worn out and need another nap.

I'm Happy! I slept with momma last night and that upset Coco, my funny little doggie sister. I am the oldest four legged furby in this famiily and for some unknown reason, Coco seems to think that she should rule. Not going to happen as long as I am here. Bay-Ling my kitty sister takes it all in stride. She doesn't want to be top cat. Me, I am the lion king and no one is going to take over my kingdom. I like to make sure Coco always remembers this and every chance I get, I let her know that I am the king.
Well, last night when Coco went to bed in her crate, I walked by slowly and grinned at her, then jumped up on the daybed with momma, curled up next to her and started purring. Coco got upset and started barking and carring on like a crazy yappy little dog that she can be at times. I was so proud of myself. Daddy came in to see what all the noise was about and I just looked at him with my happy face. Momma couldn't hear Coco barking because she doesn't hear well, so she didn't know about the excitement until daddy came in and told her. The unusual thing is that momma told Coco to go to sleep and turned over and hugged me then we went to sleep together. Score: Cat 1 Dog 0

Another hot and humid day here in the desert. Coco, my doggy sister had a fit because mom went shopping and didn't take her along. Sheesh, she scratched on the front door, cried and barked. Dad called mom and told her that her "baby" was upset and crying. That silly ole dog out did herself this time. The good thing is that mom felt guilty and bought us all treats. Bay-Ling, my kitty sister and I got a new food that is very tasty. We got HALO's Seafood Spot's Stew. I really, really liked it. Mom got us the Turkey flavor also, but she hasn't let us try that one yet, she says we have to finish the seafood one first.
I heard mom telling dad that she almost adopted another dog today. It's a good thing she didn't because that's all I need is another dog to train. I haven't even gotten Coco fully trained yet. Of well, I guess it really doesn't matter that much to me, because I know a couple of swats with my front paws would have them cowering in no time, because I am the lion king.
Mom told me she is thinking about cutting off my lion mane - is she nuts???? She says it always matted and messy. I like having her fuss over me and comb my hair, although I complain about it. Hope she comes to her senses before she ruins my beautiful lion mane. I wonder if there is an agency I can contact regarding hair abuse. For now, it's cat 1, mom 0, but that might change shortly.

Oh Boy, Oh Boy, Oh Boy,
I am one of the diary picks of the day!!! I'm actually purring with happiness. Thank you Catster for picking me.
I just knew it was going to be a special day when I escaped from the house. No, I didn't get far because my human dad was right behind me and made me go back inside. All I wanted was five minutes to go find that cat that has been sitting outside my window and spraying. I could have convinced it to hang out elsewhere.
Since I didn't get to fight with the cat, I came inside and chased my silly dog sister Coco. She's always fun to pick on. I love to have her chase me because I can jump up on stuff but she can't. She keeps on trying, but can't seem to master it. She even has to use steps when she wants to get up on the daybed - can you believe it?
Mom is still eyeing my lion mane because it continues to get messy. She has been combing me almost nightly, but insists that "I look raggy" whatever that means. I like to be combed, but only if mom does it, and if the grooming session is short. If mom takes too long, I claw at the comb and her hand. A couple of swats by me is more than enough to get her to stop.
What can I say, I am the Lion King, and I rule this household.

I can't believe she did it. I was minding my own business, not brothering anyone, and the next thing I know, my lion mane is gone.
Someone call and report my human mom for lion mane abuse. Give me the number and I will call and report it.
It all started when mom was in the bathroom, doing her thing, and I walked in and said "Hello". As mom was sitting there, I jumped up on the bathroom counter and curled up in the sink.
When mom got up, she opened up a cabinet drawer and pulled out a pair of clippers and started cutting my beautiful lion mane off. Before I even knew what was happening, it was GONE.
How could she do this to me?
I'm too upset to continue on....

I was playing tag with my dog sister Coco when all of a sudden, the plant in the living room got knocked over. Boy you should have seen the mess it made. Dirt, muddy water, leaves all over the carpet. Of course, I just made a dash into the bedroom and left Coco standing there. Momma had to sweep up the mess first, then vacuum and finally get out the carpet shampooer to get the muddy water out. Coco just stood there and took full blame - what a good doggie.

I haven't done any entries lately because I've haven’t been feeling like myself. Momma has been telling daddy that she thought something was wrong with me. Thursday, while momma was at work, daddy decided momma was right and took me to the vet. I almost died several years ago from FUS (Feline Urinary Syndrome). Momma thought this might have recurred because once you have a blockage in your wee-wee, there is always a possibility it will come back. It's a life threathing condition and needs immediate vet attention. The good news is that my wee-wee is not blocked. The bad news is that at this time, we do not know what is going on with me. I have blood in my stools and we are waiting for the test results to come back.
While we wait, I have to take two pills a day and I am not making nice about it either. I scream, hiss and try to turn my head and escape, but my human parents are much bigger than me so thus far; I have been forced to swallow the pills. I also have to have one syringe full of liquid stuff that tastes terrible. Afterwards, momma gives me a full jar of wonderful baby food that I just love, so that's nice and it almost makes being sick worth wild.
I'm getting sleepy now so until next time...

Hello all, I've been gone for a while cuz I'm not feeling well. Had to go to the vet and have some tests done. Now my human parents are shoving pills and nasty liquid down my throat. It's been a terrible week. The vet called yesterday and told my parents that they found dried blood in my urine and fresh blood in my stools, however it is not from the FUS that nearly killed me several years ago. They actually don't know what is the matter with me. They think part of my problem might be from the medication I am now taking - well I could have told them that. I have three more days of pills left and maybe a week more of that nasty liquid, then hopefully I will start feeling like my old self again.
Talk with you later -

Hi all, the human parents have finally stopped shoving pills and liquid down me, but I'm still sick. The vet said she will be giving me yet another medication to stop all of the throwing up. All of my tests have come back and I do not have FUS again, but something is still wrong. I suspect I'm going to have to go back to the vet again this week.
The good new is that I have been being mean and naughty and getting away with it. Today, momma went to the store and when she came back she put a dozen jumbo eggs on the island in the kitchen. I'm allowed to sit on top of the trash can, but due to some very silly rule, Bay-Ling, my kitty sister and I are not allowed on the kitchen counters. Well in my sick state, I went running across the island counter top and knocked the eggs to the floor - oops. I went looking for Coco Rose, my doggie sister and tried to get her to go into the kitchen, but no, she wouldn't do it. Dang, the one time I need that silly ole dog, she refused to do what I wanted. When momma saw the eggs on the floor, of course she said I did it. Really don't know why she was so upset over it. One egg had splattered all over the floor, but five others only had broken shells and the remaining were not damaged at all. Momma cleaned up the egg off the floor and the other eggs she used to make carrot cup cakes to take to work tomorrow. She should be thanking me because she wasn't planning on baking today - Purring out Loud!
