So mommy took me to the vet today and we had our first check up! They said everything looked great with my leg and they showed my mom how to do some exercises on my hip to help heal my fractures and soft tissue injuries. The good news was that they said everything looked like it was healing very well and I might be able to use my tendon again! Only time will tell as it heals up more if they can take the pin out of my hock so I can use my joint again. In about 4-6 weeks (when I finally get to be out of my cage) we will have a better idea of what the situation will be. I had my stitches removed and I don't have to wear that annoying collar around my neck anymore horray!!! I was so happy that I sat and purred all night long in my cage and gave myself the best bath ever! I hope all check ups are like this one.

So mommy got a call from the vet today and they said that in 4 weeks when my tendon is completely healed I have to go back in for surgery again to have the rod removed from my right hock and then I will be able to use it again!!! I'm a little scared about the surgery but I've been through several in the last month and I think I can handle a little one. I can't wait!!

Well here we are one week later and I am SO sick of my cage! I just want to run around and "play" with my brothers and sister! Of course my definition of "play" is their definition of "annoy", but thats ok because it amuses me anyway! My mommy lets me out of the cage 1-2 times a day for 5-10 minutes so I can stretch out my legs and play for a little bit, but it never seems like long enough!! I've started to find that if I hide under the bed she has a really hard time trying to get me out and back into the cage. She got Daddy to come and get me out a few times and I figured he just came over to say hi, but I've learned that now he'll put me in the cage too! They think they are so tricky and all.. silly humans. I hate when they pull out the string however.. now that is something I CAN'T resist! Ah well.. it is fun while it lasts! It has been 3.5 weeks since my double femur/tendon fix surgery now and my original tibial fracture I got almost 6 weeks ago must be healed by now! Three weeks to go till my final surgery and then 2 more weeks to recover after that and I'm as good as new! Just keep the string coming!

Mommy loves me! Yesterday she brought me home this awesome catnip bed to lay on for my cage and it is the best thing ever! I just curl up on it and it is the purrfect size for me. Mommy also brought home a new toy for me today too! It is a nice round pedestal with a wire sticking out of it with a pom-pom and a bell at the end. It is small enough that I can bop it all around and play with it in my cage. Being caged is tough, but thankfully I have lots of nice things to keep me occupied while recovering from my injuries!

So my surgery went very well last Thursday to take the pin out of my ankle so that I can move my joint again! They put me in a funny bandage though and I hate it.. I keep thinking maybe if I shake it lots that it will come off, but so far it hasn't! Tricksie bandage! I'll get it yet... Anymeow, the doctor said that all my bones have healed and so did my tendon! He did say that the tendon was short so I will need to slowly stretch it out.. does anyone know what slowly means cuz I don't. Does that mean to pounce and run less? That really just won't work for me, I don't care what mommy says.. if the toy is there, I will pounce on it! It will be mine! Ok sorry getting distracted again! So tomorrow I go to have my bandage changed and then a week from then it comes off and I am out of my cage!!! I can't WAIT! Mommy has been nice and has been letting me out a little bit longer lately so I can get used to walking on my leg again.. but it is really hard with my bandage. Freedom is eight days away! WHEE!

I am finally getting back to normal again. I know it has been awhile since I have posted a diary update but I just got SO excited about not having to be in my cage anymore that I forgot about adding a diary entry! Mommy doesn't think my leg is ever going to be the same, but honestly that is okay because it hasn't slowed me down one bit! I run, I jump, I tackle my brothers and sister, and best of all I am free! As time has progressed I can bend my hock joint a little more, but it still is hardly bending compared to my normal leg. The tendon is still very very tight because it was short when they repaired it. I still don't trust mommy right now, but the cage is nowhere to be found and I haven't been in it in so long that I guess maybe she's alright.. I've been giving her more lubbins lately, and if that works out and I still don't see the cage then I think everything is going to be just fine. I am growing up big and strong mommy says and she is very proud of me for getting through this difficult time. I told her I loved her last night by trying to climb up the back of her headboard on the bed.. she loves that! I hear her voice all the time when I do it! ;)

Thank you for making me one of today's Diary Picks of the Day! It is quite the honor and I'm very excited! I will make sure to have lots of fun today and bug mommy for treats and perhaps even get to take a walk outside on the back deck! Ah the wonderful days of summer! I am enjoying my time outside with mommy... except she keeps me on this funny leash! Ah well, I guess I would probably run away if she didn't so I know its to keep me safe. I can still catch the grasshoppers and the flies and anything else that I can find out in the yard as we walk around! The only thing I'm beginning to realize is that I don't like it very much when there are loud booms in the afternoon! Mommy says its called thunder.. whatever it is I could go without it. At least mommy lets me curl up next to her and comforts me if I get nervous during them... that makes me feel much better!
As for an update with my leg, it is doing well! I am able to move it pretty much without an issue, however I still can not bend it 100% to what it was before my accident. So I kinda sit funny in the windowsill with my leg stretched in back of me, or when I sit and eat my leg kinda sticks out to the side. Mom says it gives me character tho, so I'm good with that! I'm just happy that I still have it :)

So my Brofur passed away on Saturday and I am very sad about it. I am giving mommy extra lovings and that makes me feel a little bit better (and I think it makes her feel better too), although I can tell my sisfur Luna is taking this whole thing pretty hard. I keep seeing her go to the places where my brofur (Mars) used to lay down all the time and sniffing there, and I saw her run after mommy one time to see if Mars was going to come upstairs to eat dinner. Mommy is upset too, I can tell. Mommy told me that we have to stick together and be nice to each other right now, and we all miss Mars. I guess that means no pouncing on my sisfur right now.. but sometimes I just can't help it!!!! I know things will get better eventually but right now it is hard. I think sometimes he comes to visit us from the rainbow bridge just to make sure we are all ok. I love you my brofur Mars.

I got a new sisfur on Saturday! At first I was very upset with mommy, I was thinking.. what is this THING in MY HOUSE!? This is MY HOUSE!! It needs to walk right out of that door it came from... but the box it came in can stay, k? After mommy told me to deal with her I decided to give her a chance, and boy am I SO happy I did! She is a Calico sisfur, so we are almost twins, cept her nose is black and mine is pink and cute /nods. Izzie loves to wrestle and play with me! I am so happy I don't need to pick on Luna anymore since I now have a playmate who, you know, wants to play! This has been the best thing on earth! Mommy keeps telling me to be careful.. I still don't know what that word means. Just cuz I am 1yr old doesn't mean I am not a crazy kitten in a 10lb body, cuz let's face it.. I AM! :D
All in all, I think mommy made a good decision to bring us a new sisfur. My other sisfur, Luna is happier too since I don't need to pounce on her anymore! Obviously, mom has realized the superiority that is a Calico and I'm glad she has good taste in the Calico department! Horray for a new Izzie sisfur!

So my new sisfur, Izzie... she is the bomb! I am SO happy that mommy brought her home. We have so much fun playing together. I even see my sisfur Luna watching us all the time so I thought maybe she wanted to join us! After tackling her and hearing her hiss at me I guess not.. humrph she just doesn't get it! There is nothing better than rolling around on the floor with your sisfur! Well except maybe when mommy pulls out the string.. then we both try to catch it together! I still miss my brofur Mars, but I know he's watching us from the bridge every day! So to make sure he gets his food there, I eat enough for him too! Oh man, I just love food... mommy got us this very strange contraption. She said its called a Slimcat... well yeah I'll say.. you see it is this plastic ball, and when mommy shakes it around, food comes out! So I eat the food, but then she stops shaking it.. noooooooooo! She puts it down on the floor and the food is inside and it won't come out!!!!! Tricksie thing.. somehow my sisfurs get food out of it when they move it around, but I don't know about that.. there is NO way it will come out for me. I stare at it and stare at it and stare at it but the food just doesn't come out! I see mommy trying not to laugh at me but I know she is!!!! So I boycott the stupid thing!! I will just wait till mommy feeds me. Oh well I have been implementing this other plan too.. you see mommy is a very light sleeper so all I have to do is go up on the ledge and meow in the middle of the night and she gets up out of bed!!! Now I know she will feed me when she gets out of bed because that means it is morning!! YAY! It's gotten even better with my Izzie sisfur, she follows me up on the ledge and mommy gets up even faster and is yelling at us to come down!! Sometimes she'll pick me up when I come running down and throw me out the bedroom... but then she brings my food dish and leaves it by the door... muhahah sucker! I got her trained! Just to show her how much I love it I do snuggle up with her during the evenings and sleep right next to her on the couch all night long... until feeding time that is! That way I can be awake to implement my plan when I get hungry! Well the best plan would be if I could get mommy to leave food out all day but she doesn't do that.. she just leaves the ball there to mock me! Izzie loves it though and will eat from the ball more than her food dish. Silly kitten! Well I think thats enough rambling for me today! Until next time! Purrs and Burrrpts!

1.How many toes do you have?
I has 20 toes... I think... 4 paws... each with toesies on them!
2. Is you married?
No.. I is not married, I has my Cookie brofur who takes care of me tho!
3. Do you have short, medium or long hair?
My hair is generally short, although my tummy hair has gotten slightly long! Or is it that my tummy is just getting bigger? Mommy says I have to go on a diet but I love my food, and my sisfurs food too much!
4. Do you like to dress up?
No way! Sometimes I'll let mommy put a harness on me... but only if we're going to go outside to catch some buggies.
5. Who has the stinkest gas in your house?
Gas? Cats don't fart! Well at least I don't.. I'd have to say its mommy!
6. How many toys do you have?

Do 3 boxfuls count? I have my kitty tree...oh I have so many I don't think I can count them all! Mommy spoils us and I loves it!!!
7. Is your tail straight, kinked, curly, fat, thin, or just right?
My tail is beautiful! It generally is straight but I love to carry it around with a little kink at the end.. enough to say OH HAI!
8. Have you ever killed a real mousie?
No.. just the ones covered in fur with rattles!

I am beautiful!!!! Especially when I am on the ledge I am not supposed to be!
