Arrival Story: I grew up in the rural backwoods of Southern Oregon, hunting and feasting on wild songbirds (much to the chagrin of my master). I have 2 brothers and 1 sister. My early wild years resulted in teenage pregnancy at age 1. The birth of my two kittens happened between my master's feet on his bed in a one-room shack along the woodsy Applegate River. You could hear the sound of a melancholy banjo riff drifting through the firs on that cold midwinter evening. Only one of my two kittens survived birth. My son Mojo still lives in southern Oregon.
In December 1998, I migrated to Portland with my master Jim and entered the cosmopolitan life. This move represented a transition for me from a semi-wild lifestyle to domestic bliss of north Portland's Piedmont neighborhood. Most days I rise late, nibble a few pellets of catfood, go out for a (brief) jaunt, then return to the comfort of my bed. All in all life is good at Peninsula Park Commons.
