A thief in the family

I am so embarrassed to write this, but I live with a thief. I am a good cat, who obeys most laws, so imagine my disgust when I finally realized I live with a thief. The thief is my fur sister Abbey. I knew she ate my food, but I always figured it was cause she was just hungry.She usually eats the crumbs I leave from my dinner so I really did not care that she comes and eatsmy leftover food I was done with the food. Plus I feel sorry that she has only dog food to eat. Have you ever tried dog food. I have smelled it, and it smells awful.
Then today Abbey had her dinner, and a couple of dog treats. You would think she would be full. However, she came marching out to the kitchen when I was eating and while I left to get a drink of water. I came back and what did I see. Abbey eatting my food as fast as she could. I was not finished, it just rude. Thankfully my momma was in the kitchen and saw the whole thing. She told Abbey not to eat my dinner and took the food away. Once Abbey was gone momma gave me my dinner, and I was finished it. The whole thing just made me mad
The only thing that made me feel better after Abbey stole my dinner was I was able to listen to President Obama speech. It was such a good speech I felt good. I am so glad he is our president.

Oh no

I thought my asthma was gone at least for awhile. I have not had any asthma attack for a couple of weeks and was feeling really good. I even felt good enough to play with Nikita. However, for the past few days I have been having asthma attacks. Every morning I am wheezing, and it is hard to get around. Thankfully I have medicine and it does help, but leaves me not feeling 100 percent. I wish this asthma would just go away. It gets so tiring having to deal with this asthma. Spring is just around the corner and I am a little worried my asthma will really be a problem. I wish I did not have asthma. Oh well I have a momma who takes care for me, and takes real good care of me when my asthma is acting up. Hopefully she will not take be back to the vet.

A new month

Today is the first day of March and that is pretty exciting. Here is a list of reasons why I like March
1. Time change lighter at night so it will be good to watch bugs from glass door in kitchen

2. My 10 year anniversery- Lived with Momma 10 years on the 7th

3. Saint Patricks day- I live with Irish people and we need more Irish luck

4. Spring- It is nice and more sun to sunbath

5. Birds - come back

6. More squirrels to watch.

7. Warmer than February but not to hot.

Diet

Today I found out that Abbey and I must go on diets. I have to lose 3 pounds and Abbey needs to lose 10 pounds. I am not looking foward to being on a diet. I have tired before and it does not work. I am a cat who eats when I am worried, borded or hungry. I love my snacks and my cat food. I just do not know how I will lose all my weight. I do some exercise, but it does not work either. I could do more, but Abbey gets a lot of exercise and it has not helped her. In fact she is even fatter than me. Maybe exercise causes cats and dogs to gain weight. I do not know just a guess. Anyway I have to be on this stupid diet. I have cut down on the number of treats I eat. Momma says this bag of treats has to last until Friday so I have to be careful. However, I do know momma and she will get me another bag unless she really is serious and I have to go on a diet. I hope she is not serious

My ten year anniversery

Yesterday was my 10 year anniversery of living with my family. It does not seem I have lived with my family for that long. My family got me from a rescue group, and at first I wanted to go back to my foster mom. However, momma and I soon bonded and we have been together ever since. I love my momma so very much. On my anniversery I jumped into bed with her and stayed with her for awhile. Momma liked that as I do not sleep with momma. Momma liked me jumping in bed and we visited for awhile and momma petted me. I got a special treat momma bought at the store. Of cource I had to share with Nikita. It was really good food momma pick up at the pet store. Since both Nikita and I like it a lot we might get it all the time. Momma spent a lot of extra time with me, and I spent some extra time with momma. It was hard to squeeze the extra time in as I am a very busy cat, but I did it for my anniversery. All in all I would say I had a good anniversery.

Stuff

Well it is almost spring. I am looking forward to seeing more birds in the neighborhood. I also hope to see some squirrels running up the trees. Only 10 more days until spring. It will a nice change.

For the last 3 nights I have beat Nikita to the big chair. It is funny as she tought she could have the big chair. Tonight I am going to sit in it again after all it is my chair. My family gave it to me when I first came here 10 years ago. I might let her sit in the chair on her birthday which is this Sunday.

Momma bought us some new cat food, and it is mighty good. Both Nikita and I love the food. However, I do not like the chicken and liver flavor. It does not taste to good. I hope this food is not diet.

Along with Abbey I am back on my diet and it is going well. I have not eatten many treats, and I have started running around the house.
I heard running is good for you so I decided to give it a try. It is fun and will continue to do more running in the house.

I am winning

I am finally winning the battle over the chair with Nikita. For the past few nights I have out smarted her. I get into the chair early before momma feeds us our dinner. I sit there and do my thinking. Iam trying to solve all the world problems and we I get them solved I will send them to President Obama. I know he will listen. Back to the battle. Any way I sitting on the chair, and Nikita is of playing strings
When she is done playing and is looking for a place to rest I am in the big chair and she has to sit in the little chair. After she has settled in, and momma has given her a blanket, I get up and do my running around. She is resting, and does not want the big chair. This strategy seems to be working so I think I will continue using it. I have made a decision about her birthday which is this Sunday. I will not let her have the big chair. It may seem mean, but after all it is my chair, and I am not going to share just cause it is her birthday.

Tomorrow is Nikita's big day

Wow my fur sister Nikita is wild cause tomorrow is her birthday. The way she is acting you would think she is the first cat to ever have a birthday. I have had plenty of birthdays and they are no big deal. Your family gives you gifts, special meal, and extra love. In my opinion this should be given to you everyday not just on your birthday. However, Nikita thinks tomorrow is going to be special. She will learn it is not that big of a deal. I hope my family does not expect me to give her my chair tomorrow as it is not going to happen.

It mine again

Well, I finally reclaimed my big chair. For the past few days I have been sitting in the big chair at night. I love my chair as it is so comfortable. For awhile it seemed that Nikita was always getting to the big chair first. I was stuck sitting in the little chair. Although the little chair is nice it is small, and not as comfortable. It is also a rocking chair, and it move whenever you move so sometimes it can be a problem. I am so glad I got my chair back and I hope Nikita does not try to steal it again.

Young cats

Nikita and I like each other and respect each other or that is what I thought until last night. Last night I was sitting in the big chair resting and thinking about stuff when all of the sudden Nikita jumped into the big chair at first it was fine, then I realized she was trying to push me out of the chair. I am not stupid, and I stayed in the chair as I was not going to let her win. Then all of the sudden she climbed on top of me and sat. She just sat, thinking I would get mad and run off, but no I did not do that. I kept my cool and just let her sit on me. Finally, my family came into the room, and took Nikita off me and put her in the little chair. I was very happy as I won the big chair and she did not. I gave her the I won the big chair. However, this morning I found her sitting in the big chair which made me mad, but I pretended to ignore her. I knew she would get up and leave the chair, and I was right. I do not understand what is with this younger generation of cats. They just come along and try to take what is yours. Young cats I will never understand them. They are almost as hard to understand as dogs.
