Today has been quite interesting. My person's father came to do some decorating and he had a very big ladder. I climbed it. Well, if you see a ladder you have to climb it, don't you think? I managed to stay out of the paint, for which I think I deserve an extra treat, but no amount of sitting on the arm of the sofa and patting my person convinces her that this is only fair.
In the afternoon, I was just too tired for words, so despite the ladder and the paint, I had to have a rest on the bed. I thought after her father had done such a good job in the morning, I could trust him to complete the task and he did, without any assistance, and if I was at all generous I might even give him one of my biscuits to say thank you. Fortunately I am not, so he had to make do with a head rub, my head on his trousers.
There has been quite a lot of decorating lately and to be honest I hope that is the last of it because I'm exhausted with all the climbing and avoiding of paint.
Sigh....

It's my birthday today and I'm three!! Of course I'm much older than that in kitty years, in fact I'm nearly as old as my human in kitty years! Soon I will be able to tell her what to do, because I will be older and she will have to let me go out in the garden whenever I want to... sigh...
I hope there will be plenty of treats today, I think I have been such a good cat lately that I deserve it. It wasn't me that knocked everything down off the telly and it wasn't me that jumped out of the bathroom window, after all.
I wonder what treats might me in store? Tuna juice? My favourite! Real chicken, ooh yes please. I'm going now, I need to have a very big think about all the treats I will be having.

It has to be said I have something of a passion for cardboard, it is so versatile. You can lie on it and it makes a great board for sliding on. You can pretend there is something underneath it and leap on it from a great height. If you get peckish you can bite the corners or rip it to shreds. Cardboards boxes are great for hiding in, or sitting on top of. It is so satisfying to squash your body into a box that is at least three sizes too small for it. To be honest it is a bit of a skill and one that I am very good at. Why isn't the whole world made of cardboard?
I have of course trained my human not to throw any cardboard out anymore, she has this silly idea about recycling, but I do try to insist that she leaves at least three boxes in different rooms of the house. Who needs toy mice when you have cardboard
