It's my birthday today and I'm three!! Of course I'm much older than that in kitty years, in fact I'm nearly as old as my human in kitty years! Soon I will be able to tell her what to do, because I will be older and she will have to let me go out in the garden whenever I want to... sigh...
I hope there will be plenty of treats today, I think I have been such a good cat lately that I deserve it. It wasn't me that knocked everything down off the telly and it wasn't me that jumped out of the bathroom window, after all.
I wonder what treats might me in store? Tuna juice? My favourite! Real chicken, ooh yes please. I'm going now, I need to have a very big think about all the treats I will be having.

It has to be said I have something of a passion for cardboard, it is so versatile. You can lie on it and it makes a great board for sliding on. You can pretend there is something underneath it and leap on it from a great height. If you get peckish you can bite the corners or rip it to shreds. Cardboards boxes are great for hiding in, or sitting on top of. It is so satisfying to squash your body into a box that is at least three sizes too small for it. To be honest it is a bit of a skill and one that I am very good at. Why isn't the whole world made of cardboard?
I have of course trained my human not to throw any cardboard out anymore, she has this silly idea about recycling, but I do try to insist that she leaves at least three boxes in different rooms of the house. Who needs toy mice when you have cardboard

Guess what, last time I was allowed out (and I hope it's not the last time either) I escaped!! I manage to find a way through the hedge at the bottom of the garden and into next door's garden. The silly human rattled some food for me and shouted for me to come back, but it was far too exciting for that. Because...
there was a POND! It was so exciting. I sat on the edge of it and very casually dipped my paws in, because it wouldn't do my image any good to be seen to be tooexcited, but I just couldn't believe my luck. I wander all around it and checked it out for fish, but there weren't any, but that didn't matter because it was so much better than the sink for dipping your paws into.
I was finally "rescued" (huh!) by my human's father who scaled the wall and cornered me. I can't wait until next time...
