Sun Sign: Quick Bio:
| -mixed breed | -extra toe(s) |
 Birthday: March 7th 1983
Likes: He liked chasing butterflies and playing tag with me.

Favorite Nap Spot: His red plush kitty bed that he won in a cat show in 1985.

Skills: Ability to play tag, Sitting on my son's toy truck and putting his paws up on the steering wheel when I told him "Paws up!" (A treat was involved.)

Dwells:
indoors and outdoors

Arrival Story: It was May of 1983 when my (now ex-) husband suprised me with a 7-week-old polydactyl kitten that he had purchased from a pet store in South Pasadena. We already had three other cats at the time and I was 6 months pregnant with our son, so I wasn't sure that it was a good time to add another cat to our household. However, Shortstop proved to be such an exceptional kitty that I promptly changed my mind.

Bio: When I divorced and my son and I moved away two years later, we took Shortstop with us, and he continued to be our #1 Cat for all thirteen years of his life. (Although his "home" on this website is listed as Squaw Valley, Shorty went to the Rainbow Bridge long before we moved here; His purrmanent home for the last 10 years of his life was Auburn, California.) Shorty passed away in May of 1996 from kidney failure. I will always miss him. I have been owned by many, many cats, but Shortstop was the best.

Hello furriends! I haven't posted anything in my diary for a long time, but this is very urgent, so my fursibs and I are all cross-posting this in our diaries. Minda, Paula, and Merry are three wonderful kitties whose owner is dying of a brain tumor. The owner, Kathy, just went into hospice care and will not be returning home. Her house is going into foreclosure, so even though Kathy's wonderful neighbors (Catster pawrents of Albie and Mr. Silk) have been going across the street 2 or 3 times a day to check on the cats, this cannot continue much longer. These kitties have been declawed and must live indoors. PLEASE go to Minda, Paula, and Merry's page at the link below, read their story, and help if you can to save these lovely girls from going to a shelter. They can be adopted individually or together. They are located in West Virginia but transport to an approved home within several hundred miles could be arranged. Even if you can't adopt any of these girls, please share the link. Thank you so much!

(I didn't plan on posting a diary nearly twelve years after going to the Rainbow Bridge...but I've been tagged by Herman, so here goes:)
HERE ARE THE RULES OF THE GAME (Reprinted from Herman's diary): Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Cats who are tagged need to post in their Diary (1) The Rules of the Game, and (2) Seven Pawsome Facts About Themselves. (3)Then choose 7 cats to tag and list their names in your diary. (Just copy and paste these if you like) Don’t forget to purr them a pawmail informing them that they have been tagged and notifying them to read your Diary, or, send them a fun Rosette announcing that they've been tagged. So, without furrrther ado...
1) I had six toes on one of my front paws, and seven on the other.
2) I could drive a toy truck, sitting up with my paws on the steering wheel while Mom pushed me around.
3.) Once I went missing for 17 days, but found my way home!
4) One of Mommy's nicknames for me was "Bubble" because when I was happy, I would puff myself up like a big round bubble.
5.) One of Mommy's friends told her I was an "old soul" because I was so wise.
6.) In 1985, Mom entered me in a cat show but I didn't do too well because I got oil on my fur just two days before the show and it wouldn't wash out (but I did win a nice red cat bed that is still being used by Mommy's other cats to this day).
7.) Sometimes Mommy and I played "Hide & Seek", and I could always find her!
Now I must tag seven other Catster cats. I tag:
Walter (#656772)
Busby Renee Graham (#542499)
Flash (#275444)
Sunshine (#507406)
Violet (#283060)
Chloe (#435824)
Sunshine-Kitty (#95864)
