Most polite kitty award

May 29th 2008 11:57 pm   [link to this entry]

Mommy and Daddy both have given me the "Most Polite Kitty Award"! They say I'm the most well-behaved kitty they've ever known, and they've known a lot of kitties! Of course I'm well-behaved and polite...I'm a princess!

Princess rules:

1. Always use the box and cover up your messes.
2. If you have a hairball or vomit, run into the bathroom and put it in the box.
3. Purr very loudly whenever you're picked up.
4. Don't claw anything except to tell your purrents you're happy.
Still working on this one, because I like the couch.
5. Don't growl, hiss, or swat at others.
6. If someone else's snuggling with Mommy or Daddy, sit right by them until they say you can come up also.
7. Always lay down instead of standing on your purrents.
8. Don't be pushy when begging for food. Instead, sit as close to their feet on the floor as you can and give them the "stink-eye".
9. Keep your distance from feet that might accidentally step on you.
10. Observe your house rules and follow them the best you can.

These are all things I do purrrrfectly!

My first 72 hours inside

March 14th 2008 12:33 am   [link to this entry]

I'm an inside kitty now. It's tough adjusting, because I love my outside so much, but Mommy and Daddy say it's tons better for me being in here than out in the cold and wet. Something about my "old bones"...hmph!

They've been letting me come inside when I want to for a while now, and I finally decided enough was enough. Almost three days ago, at 3:00 am, in the wet and cold, I decided I wanted IN FOR GOOD!!! Daddy heard this odd noise outside, couldn't figure it out for anything, so he walked over and looked out the window. Guess who was staring him in the face?! Little old me!!! I'd climbed up the screen door (thick mesh security door) and was hanging there, waiting for him to open it up so I could come in! MOL! Of course he did, and I came in, and went to the food bowl. Mommy woke up and gave me a nice, warm bath, which I actually tolerated pretty well. Mommy and Daddy both hugged and petted me while I was drying, telling me how nice and soft and clean my fur was. I must say, it's nice not being all dirty anymore.

I snuggle with Daddy on the couch, have touched noses with everyone inside except Lydia (who's jealous), and explored all the rooms. I still want out, but they don't let me out anymore.

*looks embarrassed* I did a no-no, though. I had to go to the bathroom, but I didn't know where it was, so I saw something big and round that looked like the litter box and used it. It turned out to be Skylar's cherry bed! Mommy and Daddy were disappointed in me, because they had shown me where the box was a couple times before that, but I hadn't remembered. Mommy took the bed down to the laundry to wash it, and picked me up, bringing me in to the bathroom and putting me in the box. Next time, I went to the bathroom in the box, and they were so proud of me!

Happy purrs from Mommy's lap while she types this for me,

Sara Princess.

Lots of news!

February 25th 2008 2:24 am   [link to this entry]

Karen and Scott have officially adopted me into their kitty family now! I love them!!! =^..^= My other mommy, Jacquie, had to move into low-income housing, and took Schizie with her (luckily, now I don't have to deal with that brat anymore!), so asked Karen if she would watch over me. I have my own little house on the back porch, a rubbermaid container with a hole cut in one side and my fleece blanket and a snugglesafe heater in there as well. I don't use my little house that often, but it's there if I want a space of my own.

I have my favorite sleeping spot in another place! It's in the "basement", really just the space between the foundation and the struts holding up the house, but it's where the washer and dryer are. There's some cozy carpeting and packing peanuts there that I snuggle in. Outdoor fluffy buddy (one of the trailer kitties) likes to sleep there as well, and I let him because he doesn't bother me.

From time to time, Scott and Karen let me inside. They try to have me come inside for a little bit every day, because it's cold outside and sometimes wet. I love inside, but don't always like to come in. Once I'm in, I purr away and touch noses with the other cats who live inside. Sometimes one or two of them hiss at me, and Spooky sometimes jumps at me, but I always purr, telling them it's alright. I'm just a little old lady, but now I have a big family. :) When I want back out, I go over to the door and sit there until it opens, then go back outside to my porch.
