Arrival Story:
When our beloved Basil went to the Bridge we knew we needed another tuxedo cat. So I called the same rescue that we got Pearl from and told her to keep an eye out for a new tuxie boy. In late April, we go the call, there were two tuxedo babies ready to be adopted, "Tango" and "Cash". We took our friend's daughter to help us pick - it was a hard choice, they were both fun and adorable (and energetic), but in the end we took "Tango" because he was so handsome ("Cash" was adopted later that week).

How Our Kitties Got Their Names:
All of our cats are named after characters in Disney movies, they also spell out "PB&J". We named our first cat Purdy after the "lead" dog in 101 Dalmatians, then we named Basil after the lead mouse in Basil the Great Mouse Detective.
We added to our family many years later, with a stray kitten. We couldn't figure out what to name him - but we knew it would be from a Disney movie - but then we realized that if we named him with a "J" they would spell out PB&J. And so Jake was named after the seagull in the Rescuers Down Under.
When Purdy went to the Bridge, we needed a new girl kitty as well as a new "P" kitty, so Pearl was named after the octopus in Finding Nemo.
Later Basil follwed Purdy over the Bridge and we needed a new "B", so when Bert was adopted we named him after Bert from Mary Poppins.
