Arrival Story: She hobbled up to me one cold winter day, was thrown from a car. Freezing and starving, with feline leukemia, skin disease and three kinds of worms (ugh). She was just awful-looking. The vet wanted to put her down so I used hands-on healing and essential oils and she grew healthy in a matter of weeks. She then tested Negative for FELV twice! The vet couldn't believe it! Hazel is happy, trusting, and affectionate. Insulin shots daily. She's a sweetheart! And she really does test and approve each blanket!
Bio: It took Hazel years to make eye contact, years to come out when people came over. Years to sleep on the bed. She learned to trust in her own time and now she is very loving and can be vocal when she wants something! Oh how I adore her!
Holy Matrimony! Hazel married Buddie! The wedding was September 24th, 2005. CLICK HERE to see the first Catster wedding, the 23 bridesmaids and 23 groomskittymen!

I'm in excellent health with a touch of a urinary tract infection, nothing to worry about.
Starting Orbax for it. My kidneys, liver, heart and everything are purrfect.
The Fructosamine test showed my sugar/insulin is better than a year ago, in the normal range. Mom crushed the Orbax tablet and put it in the wet food with the Prozyme.
Thanks for all your purrs and notes and concern. Please stop by The Get Well Purr List and send a note to some really sick kitties.
Thank you my handsome mangoman furhusband BUDDIE for holding my paw as we waited for Dr. Reggie to call mom with the results. You're the best!
Would not come out of my carrier.
Hissed, mewed, cried, cowered, hissed some more.
I bit Dr. Reggie when he pulled me from the carrier. (He smiled and said how pretty I am.)
Checking for bladder infection.
May need more insulin.
Blood work to check liver, kidneys, etc.
NOT losing weight!
Since turning 12 years old earlier this year my body has been changing.
I used to go to the vet no more than twice a year. Already this year I've been 5 times. Now I know that's not a lot for many of you, but for me it's too many!
Will know a lot more tomorrow.
NUTRO Pet Food is still a concern. Many of the products have best used by dates well into next year. Cat and Dog products involved. Please check recall lists. See previous diary entries for why. (Recall earlier this year was due to extremely high levels of zinc in the food). Nutro has/had signs up in some stores saying their food is safe for cats and dogs. Hmmm, if it was safe would there be the need for a sign????
