My weeky rant for the week ending 2nd May 2009

I have decided to change the day I do my weekly rant to Saturday as mum helps me type it and it seems to get done every Saturday anyway so I just thought I would make it official for anyone who reads my diary regularly.

I want to send a shout out to my good friend Hazel Lucy who had her birthday yesterday. I hope she had a great day as she is a really sweet and beautiful kitty who always lends a paw to any kitty in need and it's an honour to call her a friend.

Another friend from the breakfast club freckles had a birthday this week too. She turned sweet 16 another sweet and beautiful girl kitty. Hope you had a great day too.

On a sadder note I was reading the diaries of some of my friends and found out that my mate Aldo chapter 2 is not feeling well. It doesn't sound like it anything too serious. He have some tummy issues and got dehydrated from being so sick. I ask for all my friends to join me in purring for him. I believe there is great power in the purr to help kitties in need.

I know the purr worked on my humans. They all had a virus the last few weeks and I'm happy to report that's it's all gone. Good thing though as Grandma and Grandpa are going on a holiday this week and they wouldn't want to take it with them.

Well that's my news for the week. If any kitty can spare some could you please send some sun my way as it's really cold. My old bones are starting to feel it and Mum's bone's already are.

I'm a diary pick

Mum just got an email to say I'm one of today diaries picks. I didn't think my weekly rants were that interesting but who ever gives out the picks must think so. Thanks catster HQ for the honour and thanks mum for helping type weekly rant. There must be something about being Aussie moggie that the diary chick loves. She digs me.

I just had the purrfect day

I just had what I would consider the perfect day today. It started with Mum and I having a little sleep in snuggled together until 8am i never wake anyone for my food I always wait until someone wakes up and feeds me.

Then Mum got up and fed me some chicken and turkey wet cat food but it tasted so good. After I had breakfast and Mum woke up some more we had a great play with my packing strip.

Mum went outside to get some drinks from the fridge in the shed and I went out the door and came straight back in as it was still very cold.

Then Mum went and had her first caffeine hit and I went to sleep on her bed amongst her clothes they were so soft and warm. Mum just looked at me and said to me well I'm used to having your fur on my clothes so stay there.

Mum went out to go food hunting at the supermarket as we need some things for tomorrow night's tea and then she came back and cooked lunch for herself and uncle Grant and after eating it played with me again. It was the purrfect day as Mum was home for most of it. I then went to sleep on Uncle Grant. Now I am going back to sleep some more in front of my heater.

That is what I call a purfect day.

My weekly rant for the week ending 9th May 2009

My weekly rant is being written a day early this week as Mum may not be able to help me tomorrow as uncle Ross is coming for visit starting tonight.

I would like to start this rant with a birthday shout out to my beautiful girl kitty friend Kit. She had her 13th birthday yesterday so that makes her a teenager. I hope she doesn't get pimples though. I hope you had a great day.

Grandma and Grandpa went away for weeks holiday. So I'm home with Mum and uncle Grant looking after me they've done a great job. I get fed, I get cuddled, I get let out the door when I want it, I get let back in five minutes later when I discover it's too cold and I get my litter box cleaned what more could a cat ask for.

We are becoming hotel Mainard this weekend and early next week. Mum's friend uncle Ross is coming tonight until Sunday morning and then on Monday a friend of uncle Grant's is coming until Wednesday morning. I think there is something seriously wrong with uncle Grant's friend he is allergic to me little old me who wouldn't harm a fly.

I've been put in charge of welcoming duties for the rest of the week and supervision of the work uncle Ross is going to do while he's here. Someone has to make sure he's doing it right and I'm a very good supervisor. Mum says there are two things I'm good at supervising people when they work and being to a nurse to family members when they get sick and I've done a lot of that lately.

Happy mother's day Mum your so special to me

Today is mother's day in Australia and I thought I would write an entry today for my mum as she is really special to me and I love her very much.

Most of you who have known me for a while know my story for my new friends here's a recap.

Mum adopted me from an animal shelter when I was eight weeks old. I was week from being put to sleep as the shelter could only keep animals for so long for adoption so I literally own all of my nine lives to my Mum.

I could have asked for a better furever home as I am really loved and looked after well by all humans but I have a close bond with my Mum as she really looks out for me and makes sure I don't get into any trouble is the reason I grew up to be an olde furt.

My family have moved four times in my ten years but they never considered getting rid of me I just came with the family and home was where they were or where Mum was.

Mum I love you so much and I hope you have great mother's day as you are one of the greatest mothers out there in my humble opinion. Thanks for loving me and never giving up on.

My weekly rant for the week ending 17th May 2009

Sorry my rant is late this week Mum totally forgot about it until now. I was going to try and type it myself but my paws aren't built for typing and it's something I like to do with Mum any way as she is a very fast typist.

There hasn't been much happening at my end of the world this week as it getting really cold here and we haven't even hit winter yet. I don't go outside at the moment unless I have to as the sun has totally disappeared and my days are spent in front of the heater sleeping or cuddled up to uncle Grant, Mum or Grandma whoever it around.

If anyone can can they please send some sun as I could sure use it and I know mum would like a few warm days as it's affecting her bones as I'm giving her a lot of knee therapy lately as her knees have been giving a lot of trouble.

Grandma and Grandpa came home from their holiday on Wednesday I was really looked after well by Mum and uncle Grant but I missed them a lot it was great today just to have the whole family home.

Mum was watching netball in the bed room and everyone else was in the lounge room watching Aussie rules football but it nice to know they are around and have them all together. I know I'm sook but I love my humans very much.

Well that's it from me for this week. I had more to say than I thought I did. Hope all my friends and their families are happy and well.

My weekly rant for the week ending 22nd May 2009

I would like to get this rant started by giving a shout out to my little mate Angel who is celebrating a 6 months birthday and why is this significant well Angel was lucky to survive her first week of life.

Like me she was runt of her litter and wasn't getting enough food from her cat Mum and then her human in all innocence thought they were doing the right thing with her care and she ended up a very sick girl.

She was adopted by her current Mum who looked after her and brought back to good health and she hits 6 month old next week so to me it worth celebrating as she is a beautiful and sweet kitty.

We have had strange thing going on at the moment. Mr sun has put in appearance this week while it's still touch on the cold side it's been warm enough that I can go outside and hang out with Grandpa and sun bath. I don't know how much longer it's going to last so I'm going to enjoy it while last.

Another great thing happened this week. I got my 500th friend on catster. I've made so many wonderful friends since I've been on catster. The only thing I'm bummed about is who was 500th friend I'm not quite sure who it was. If anyone can help find out who it was could they please let me know. As I would like to give then a shout out in my diary if I find out who it was.

I need some purrs

I haven't been feeling well the last few days and I think some purrs might be needed. I am been feeling really furty and we thought it might be my flea allergy acting up as I was due for my flea control. Uncle Grant gave me my flea control yesterday and I still don't feel too flash.

I'm a great believer in the power of the purr could any kitties who read this please purr for me. I know Mum is starting to get a bit concerned about me and said if I don't show signs of improvement in the next few days she will have to take me to the vet.

I hope everyone who went on the camping trip had a great time and I've missed not being able to get to chat with you all at breakfast club.

There's power in the purr and my great mates love.

When I asked for friends to purr for me I never knew how many responses I would get. I am feel better since I last wrote in my diary and my belief in the power of the purr is even stronger now.

I'm feeling better. I went outside and stayed in the sun under my favourite brush and slept most of the day but it felt so good. I also believe that all the friends who purred for me played their part in getting me better.

It's nice to know when things go bad that I have a great group of friends I can turn to and know they are there for me and love me for being me.

My weekly rant for the week ending 30th May 2009

I start this rant with a heavy heart this week as my mate Duncan crossed the rainbow bridge during the week. He had to be rushed to hospital and put in oxygen cage as his heart could take no more. So his mum and dad decided to help him cross to the bridge.

I didn't know him for long but he was a sweet and gentle guy. Now he has crossed he will healthy again but those left behind will miss him. rest in peace mate.

Some you read during the week that I was feeling furty and not my normal self well I'm happy to say I'm totally over it and Mum said today I have my mojo back. Not totally sure what that means but I do feel like my old self.

I don't know what was wrong with me but I feel really good now. Again I want to thank everyone that send get well messages and rosettes. It was nice that so many of my friends were thinking of me.

If anyone can spare some sun could you please send it my way as it has been really cold here the last few days. Mum went out bowling and then went to another group she involved in and walked home from it and said she was glad to home just to warm up. It only going to get colder in the next few months but I wouldn't mind some warm sun. Mum's old bones don't like it at all.

I'm going to have birthday on Monday 1st June. I am turning 11 year young. I believe your only as old as you feel and fact I feel like recycled kitten so I've decided I'm 11 years young not old.

I don't know what I'm going to be doing for it but I'm telling mum now I would love some roast chicken at some stage during the day as it's one of my favourite foods. I don't know if I'll get it but I have to drop the hint for it to have any chance.
