Hi Cat Pals and Furmilies! Summer is nearly here and I'm busy planning my summer activities and fantasizing about a truly catabulous vacation, being inspired by the Cat Camp article we read today on Catster. I really would love to go to Camp Catnip (hint hint invite me invite me!!!), but knowing that might not happen, here's what I'm planning so far:
Bug Chasing - spiders, ants, moths and whatever else manages to fly, crawl or sneak there way into my house. Jumping on top of the tv and meowing plaintively up at the ceiling usually gets my meowmie off her duff and running for the broom! What fun to make my human run and join in on the chase.
Lolling - on those really sticky icky days, lolling on the cat tree, preferably in the same room with a fan making gentle breezes . . .
Catabulous vacation spot - Fish piers here I come! I can smell the ocean breezes and fishes wafting in the warm air, tickling my nose, stimulating my appetite, encouraging me to get extra feedings. How delightful a trip to a stinky fish pier would be.
Doubtlessly I will be adding to this list. How about you? What are your plans? I'm looking forward to reading all about it in your diaries or posts here. Remember - the world is our oyster!

So I'm watching meowmie patrol the perimeter of our property before she came inside last night and when she came in I asked her what she found.
"Well, Meep," she said. "There are some tulips and maybe a hyacinth or two poking out some leaves under the front bushes. I don't think you can see them yet from your perch in the window but they are there and soon they will be tall and blooming and pretty for you to look at."
"Huh," I said. "What else did you find?"
"Pretty much the same along the back fence," she said, "except there are lots of daffodils. No tulips or hyacinths waking up yet."
"Anything else?" I inquired as I licked and groomed my toes and sides.
"Yes, Meep. You won't believe what I found in addition to the bits of day lilies, geraniums and other things along the driveway."
"What what," I asked as I bonked my head on her leg and stretched up with my paws.
"I found snow!"
"Come on, mom. Snow? Its already been above freezing on and off for 2 or three weeks. Snow?"
"Yes, Meep," she said. "Most definitely the last patch of snow, about a foot wide, a couple of inches thick, and about three feet long."
"That's amazing," I said as I looked up at her with my roundest eyes. "Now will you please feed me?"

2-More napping means more energy to chase Bibi!
3-More and different types of birdies to watch.
4-No more cold toes.
5-Still cool enough at night to snuggle but warm enough to prowl.
