The Meep's Meow

Baby its cold outside!

Brrr! Its cold outside. Usually I like to hang out in the screened- in porch out back but lately my toes get way too cold. One quick patrol around the perimeter and I'm done. So you can imagine my distress last night when meowmie put only the smallest amount of food in my dish and in Bibi's dish too. We each quickly finished off the tiny morsels and meowed like crazy. So meowmie got a new can opened and put a normal portion in each bowl. Bibi meowed so terribly meowmie got startled and dropped one of the bowls into the water dish! Luckily nothing broke and after a quick clean up we were snarfing down our noms. Thanks mom!

3 a.m. petting

Lately I need to snuggle up to the mom around 3:00 a.m. This is plenty of time before the sun rises but its dark and cold and I just need a good snuggle. Meowmie does not like this one bit and makes discontented sounds. I am a very good trainer and do not give up. I scratchy scratch the blankets until mom rolls over, puts her arm around me and gives me some pets. Ooh its sooo good. I start kneading and petting her face. Humans have such thin skins--meomwie holds my paw away from her face and then the next thing is that she wakes up and I'm not even there!

Zoe Part II and III

I regret there is a part 2 to the Zoe tale . . .

Meowmie came home from work and that Zoe was hanging around the front porch, sleeping on the mat in front of our door. And curled up like a pot roast that lived there! The nerve. Then she had the double nerve to run inside the foyer. Can you believe it? Meowmie quickly said, no Zoe, you don't live here, and Zoe quickly scooted out not to be seen for several days. I thought that was the end of that until

part 3 ...

So meowmie brings the mail in when it is already dark and sees Zoe hanging around the porch, once again. Meowmie is learning and did not pet her, just said, I'm sorry Zoe you don't live here and came in. Well that nervy cat did not leave our porch and just sat there looking out at the world like she owned it or something. Meowmie thought it was pretty cute that I came into the foyer and said look Meep, there's another cat. I was busy investigating the trail of a spider so I didn't pay attention right away, so meowmie tapped on the glass of the door and said look Meep. Which I did and that Zoe came running over and looked right at me and started pounding the door! The nerve! Meowmie finally realized I was not there anymore so she came inside the living room and saw me all curled up like I had seen a monster or something. Well I did see the potential new girl cat friend monster and I did not like it one bit. Thank goodness meowmie said, don't worry Meep, she isn't coming in (unless its bitter cold or snowing) . . . I sure hope so!
