Hello pals! Hope all is well today. Mom is on a group page called undercats4life. I dont know why she decided to join as its a group of people who rescue cats from a high kill shelter in Florida. We live in MN so usually she can't help with fostering or pulling OR transport. Its the good stories I suppose she joined for. To see the ones that get out of the shelter. Apparently 90 percent of the cats and kittens that enter the shelter are euthanized. Just another reason to spay and neuter your cats.
Anyway right now there are 4 cats in this shelter that were surrendered by a ladies son in law. The lady lost her house and they had no where else to bring them. The son didn't tell her he was bringing the cats to this high kill shelter until he came home. Now the lady is begging for help to get her four cats out that she loves so dearly. Mom can't even imagine that happening to us. It would be the most aweful thing in the world. Undercats for life is trying to help and has the fees sponsered but no where for these cats to go. Its so so sad. So many people are willing to help but none of us live near the area.
So we just ask that you please purr for these kitties and all of the kitties at this shelter. Owner surrenders are the first to be euthanized. How can you give a pet to a high kill shelter???
UPDATE: They found a Foster for the kitties until the owner gets back on her feet.

1. Meow! Are you a noisy kitty or a quiet kitty? I am moderatly noisy. I have a quiet voice but I can be really annoying with it at times. I will meow over and over and over AND over again until I get what I want.
2. Litterbox! Cover your business or let some other kitty cover? I cover it as long as no one is rushing me out of the box. I like complete privacy when I am doing my thing.
3. Happy! Favorite Daily Routine?
Anything that has to do with mom paying attention to me.
4. Hiss! Least Favorite Routine?
When my siblings try to play with me. I dont want to play most of the time but they just wont give up.
5. Ding-Dong! What do you think about visitors to your house?
Whatever...Let them in but don't expect me to lift a paw or act the least bit interested.
6. Friends! Do you like other animals?
I get along with my siblings but sometimes they really get on my nerves.
Mom still has some adjusting to do but she is happy she found a way to use the pictures she took of us in the house.
We like our cat room a lot. Mom plays classical music with birds chirping on it for us during the day while we they are gone. Here is a picture of us all enjoying it. Yes I am there too but I am behind one of the Katimanjaro posts drinking from the catit.
Mom still has some work to do in there but its bright and sunny and peaceful. What more could a cat ask for? Mom needs to find some cute curtains for the room.
Mostly we have been laying around again. I beg to get outside but then when mom opens the door and I realize how hot out it is I turn around. Today was just aweful! So hot and humid that mom would start sweating just being outside for a minute. Now we are supposed to get bad storms again tonight.
