Here’s the latest on our boys.
Chocolate: Got let out of his cage during a quiet time yesterday. Has been spending his time exploring the bit of jungle behind, then coming back to eat, then exploring and so on. Comes when the guard calls him. Seems to be delighted in his new kingdom, especially with the rooster that lives back there. Guard is happy, “He knows me!!” but is afraid that a snake, etc might hurt him. Finally he said, “We must leave him to God.”
Gingee: Has loft apartment over main restaurant, goes to gym and waits for the spa to open at 10.30. Everybody loves him.
Turk: Has moved to main stable area where the horses will keep the dogs off. Very fat and friendly. Spent 10 minutes snuggling with him this morning. No one will mind as the anti-cat people willthing he’s just another of the old tabbies.
Okay, hope you are well.

16th May 2002, Thursday
Sitting forlorn in the area in the area in front of the lift lobby of a block of flats in Bedok North, was a small kitten with the markings of a siamese. It is barely 3 months old. He has a sad pair of eyes and a prominent belly. He sat motionless on the spot for about 3 hours. He was probably a dumped domesticated kitten.
At about 8.30pm, he was seen by a vet at the Animal Clinic at Katong. He was dewormed and kept at the vet for observation.

17th May 2002, Friday
Dr Ang of the Animal Clinic said that the kitten was a case of severe starvation.
Salie brought him home from Animal Clinic. He was given a anti-flea shampoo
Salie named him Chinky.

18th May 2002, Saturday
Salie couldn't handle Chinky as one of her cats suddenly had severe diarrhoea. Chinky was brought to Metta Cattery. That was when we decided to foster him.
So he came back to the same block of flats where he was dumped but this time in a home.
He settled well into his litter bin of Feline Pine and Whiska Can Food.

From 19th May 2002 onwards
Chinky hissed at Mickey at first sight but quickly learnt that this frequent canine visitor is cat-friendly dog. However Chinky has yet to extend his friendship to Mickey.
He overcame his fear of a resident dog, Lucky as he probably figured out that this canine fellow is almost totally blind! Chinky now even eats from Lucky's bowl!
---------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------
3rd August 2002 at 12 noon; Chinky was seen by Dr. Daphne Ang at the Animal Clinic; he was vaccinated against Feline Rhinotracheitis, Calici-Panleukopenia & Chlamydia Psittaci Vaccine (Fel-O-Vax/Batch 220213B/Exp. 5 Oct 02). He shivered but didnot struggled. After he was jabbed in the thigh, he quietly sneaked back into the carrier. Dr. Ang estimated his age as 7-8 months. He was dewormed with a tablet popped in by Vet Assistant, Jenny. Chinky held the tablet in his mouth and was later coaxed to swallow it. Appointment was made for his sterilisation on the 4th of September when he will be vaccinated again to complete the primary course.
---------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------
4th September 2002
Chinky was sterilised and given his 2nd booster shot at the Animal Clinic(Katong).
---------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------
30th December 2002
Chinky had frequency and possibly blood-stained urine (FLUTD) from 27th to 29th. Could be due to a sudden switch to Friskie dry food. He was given frequent meals of broth made with warm water added to portions of Whiska Kitten Tin Foil (chicken). His frequency ceased completely today.
