Arrival Story:
Gretchen was sent by an angel to be my kitten after I had lost a great white cat. I had just had a bilateral mastectomy and desperately wanted a kitten to love. She was an answer to my prayer becuase I was physically and emotionally unable, with chemo treatments, to go searching for a kitten. My prayers were that God would literally have to drop a kitten in my lap. He did. Out of nowhere a friend of my aunts was looking for a home for her last kitten. My aunt had just adopted her brother. The lady called me at ten p.m. on a Saturday night, June 13, 2004 and said she could bring the kitten right then. It turned out she was nearly forty miles away and drove down to my apartment at eleven o'clock that night. What an angel she was without ever knowing who sent her.

Gretchen is silky sophistication. She's three years old and is an only, inside only, pale torti.

I think spring and summer has come and gone and it is only the last part of the human's month of June. It is cold. The windows are closed. I don't like the tease. For a few days early in this month we had the windows open, the air smelled sweet and I could hear the sounds of the things I love. The wind, the birds, the neighborhood cats. We had a good rain today but I didn't get to smell it because it was so cold the heat had to be turned on for awhile. Will summer ever get here?
My friend Marilyn Monreow found me on Caster before I could notify her that I was here. How neat is that?
I slept mostly all the day through. I only played with my feathers and my bean for a short while today. I don't think my bean D feels good today.
