Arrival Story:
Sweetie and her brother, Jack, lived in the woods behind our house when my husband and I moved in right after we got married. One day, Sweetie came to us with a swollen and infected back paw. We knew she was in pain, and it looked really bad. We gently picked her up, put her in a carrier, and had her at the vet's office in an hour. She ended up having to have part of her foot amputated, and a uncertain recovery. We were back and forth to the vet several times before she finally started to heal properly. She can now walk, run, and play just like she could before, and has made a full recovery. She is back to living outside during the day, but she comes inside at night sometimes, and eats here every day. She is our SweetieKins.
Bio:
Sweetie has now had a litter of kittens. She had five kittens born on June 9. The kittens have their own profile on Catster. She has been a very good MamaKitty to them, and we are proud of her.

I'm getting a new home tomorrow. Mama says a friend of hers is going to take me to a new family. Some of my babies are going with me too! Mama's friend Jessica and her BF Frankie are taking me to Frankie's mom's house. I am sad that I will be going without my long time friend Jack, but I will have some of my kittens to go with me. Mama says she will miss me. Aw, I love you Mama.

Mama and Daddy gave me a bath yesterday. They actually gave all of us a bath. It was my first bath ever, and I don't like it. They got me all wet, put this stuff all over me, and got me wet all over again. Mama finally got me out and rubbed a towel all over me. But then she pushed me out of the bathroom. I wanted to stay in there, with all the babies, and with them. But she said something about me not getting fleas all over me again and pushed me out. I just hope I never have to have another bath again.

I finally have some freedom! The kittens are eating real food now, and they are playing by themselves. That means I can have some space and my own life again. I still keep very close track of them, but I know they can be on their own now.
Mama let me go outside the other day. There was this boy cat, too. He was black, and he was waiting for me. I thought I got away and that Mama didn't see him, but she looked at me and I know she did. She hasn't let me outside much since then, either.
Mama says someone has a home for me. His name is Frankie. I guess he wants me and one of my babies. I will be glad to stay with at least one of them. I will miss Mama though.
Speaking of missing, I wonder how Jack is doing. . . I sure miss Jack :(
