Arrival Story: Back in 1985, I was living in the county animal shelter in Crown Point, Indiana. I was just a little kitten, probably about 8 weeks old. Some young woman came into the kitten room at the shelter and was eye-balling this little gray kitten, but I kept climbing up the leg of her blue jeans saying "pick me! pick me!". Well, she didn't. She took the little gray kitten to the front desk, but they told her she couldn't adopt that kitten because it was "too thin". She came back into the kitten room and I climbed right back up her leg. Well...she picked me! We were together for 23 wonderful years until I went to the bridge on August 13, 2008.

Bio: I was a very a friendly guy, though old age made me less outgoing and a bit cranky. I was very talkative and sometimes I was pretty loud. I had CRF and a few other age related issues, no big whoop. I got daily sub-Q fluids and a few dietary supplements. CRF was a roller coaster, but for the most part I did just fine. My soul sister for my whole life, Toot Suite, died in 2006 at the age of 22, and I went to the bridge in 2008 at the age of 23. My two little brothers, Raymond and Busby have some very big paws to fill!

My dear catster friends, a catster icon and a good friend made the journey to the Bridge today. SCOOTER, the co-founder of the Olde Furts Group is an angel now. Even though we are all thrilled to have Scootie join us at the Bridge, we know that her pawrents will miss her very much.
My family and I send our love and deepest sympathy to Bonnie & Dean, who took loving care of Scootie for 20 years. Thank you for sharing Scootie with all of us here on Catster.
Loving purrs, Alex

Hello earthly and bridge-dwelling catsters! Today is a special day! Today is my dear friend SCOOTER'S 20th birthday!!!
Besides being a wonderful friend to me and so many other Catsters, Scooter is the co-founder of one of the best groups on Catster, The Olde Furts Group. Olde Furts is a great group from cats who are 10 years old and older. I can't tell you how much support, education, laughs and comfort my Moms and I got from the Olde Furt group in the final few years of my life.
Happy birthday to a really terrific catster, everycat's friend, Scooter!

Hi Catsters,
It's been three weeks since Alex moved on, and our vet, the fabulous Dr Good will be bringing Alex's ashes home to us today.
The town we live in, Capitola, recently completed a public art project. Residents painted tiles and they were installed on our seawall. The Capitola Seawall Project was originally going to be a way for us to celebrate Alex's 23rd birthday, but now it has become a memorial to him, and we are so happy to have his picture forever on display on Monterey Bay.
I have just posted some photos of it on his page. I hope to get one that will show you all just how beautiful the location is, Alex's picture has a wonderful view across Monterey Bay all the way to Big Sur.
Peace and Love, Rocky (Alex's Mom)
