Treats!

Goodness! I took a look at my page today and discovered that lots and lots of kind kitties and their staff have left me treats! Lots of treats! Oh yummy, yummy!!! Thank you !! Do I have to share with my brothers? Ooh! Gotta run, I think I just heard the can opener!

What should I do for mom?

Gee....on Saturday the 24th, mom came home smellin' funny. Me and my brothers almost wore our noses out sniffing her all over. She was also leakin' a lot of water from her eyes....she does that when she's sad. She hugged us all and told us that our horse brother Cajen had gone to the Rainbow Bridge. We never saw him cuz we live inside, but we saw pictures and he was a very pretty horse n' he wasn't very old at all. We all understood why mom was sad and we have been doing our very best to make mom feel better since. Isaac is spending lots of time in her lap, I keep bringing her my shakie mice to throw so I can fetch and Pedro and I both are givin' mom lots of kisses right on the lips. We hope to have her back to her old self shortly.

Still trying to fix mom

Hummmmm...mom had to go back to work today. She said she didn't want to 'cuz she looked like she had been on a 4-day bender. Well, I don't know what a bender is, but mom's face sure does look funny. That seems to happen when she does that leaky eye thing. She keeps puttin' some kinda goo on her face and then sayin' bad words when it doesn't make her face look right again. Well duhh...I could tell her that she needs to quit that leakin' thing and then her face would look normal again!
*Sigh* She sure is sad about our brother Cajen. Isaac told me and Pedro that mom was like this when his brother Dexter went to the Rainbow Bridge and that she'd be o.k after some time. Gosh I hope he's right cuz I've decided that I don't like it when mom is sad!

Things are looking a 'lil better

Mom's down to just leaking from her eyes a couple times a day instead of like, I dunno, constantly? I think the man friend that hangs around here a lot is tryin' to keep mom busy with projects so she won't think so darn much. I don't know if mom knows that that is what he's up to, but it looks that way to me! They cleaned the WHOLE basement tonight (Pedro and I helped) and they put lots of stuff outside by the street. Well, whatever works to keep mom from bein' sad and doin' that leaky thing, I'm all for it.

Good things to report

Well, things are looking better around here since I last wrote. Mom seems to be doing a lot better with that leaky eye thing. Lots of her friends have come by with kind words and cards and pictures of our departed horse brother Cajen. Everybody who knew him seems to be as sad as mom. He was way too young to leave us. Mom says he was a character and didn't know he was a horse...he thought he was a people.

And.....I got good news this week!! I don't have to go back to the vet for my EK for a WHOLE YEAR!! Isn't that awesome?? My eye looks almost normal. I only have to do the eye drops 2 times a week now too. I am soooo darn happy!!!

Someone besides me gets to go to the vet!

Hello all! Boy! We finally had a beeeeeuuuutiful weekend here in North East Ohio. We love it when it's nice out 'cuz mom opens the windows and doors and me and my brothers get to sniff all the wonderful scents that come wafting in through the screens. Yep...it's been a good couple of days!

Pedro had to go to the vet last Tuesday. Mom noticed his breath was stinky (I could have told her that!) and when she took a look at his mouth, noticed his gums were red and swollen. Not good! Pedro and I won't even be 2 until June, so this is waaaayy too early for problems like this! I told him to take better care of his teeth! Well, anyway, he has to go in for a cleaning on Wednesday. Mom's wringing her hands about the whole thing 'cuz she doesn't like for us to have to have anesthetic. She says it's not good for us and kinda dangerous. I think it's because she's still tender over losing Cajen and doesn't want to lose one of us. Well, I don't want anything bad to happen to my brother either, but he's gotta have his teeth cleaned...I'm tired of wrestling with butt-breath boy! >^..^<

Isaac is doing pretty good for an Olde Furt (he says that's the name of some group he's in). He's a super picky eater, but the vet said he could have whatever appealed to him. Right now Authority catfish canned food appeals to him which is great 'cuz Pedro and I love it too AND it hasn't appeared on any recall lists! Very scary stuff!

Someone called tonight and tried to get mom to buy another horse. She said no, she's not quite ready. We sure don't mind that answer 'cuz she sure is home a lot more often. Isaac says she's always had horses since he's lived with her and that cats before him told him the same. Well, I guess when she's ready we'll have to share her again, but for now we're gonna hog her to ourselves.

My brother Pedro had to go to the vet today. His teeth were in pretty bad shape, even though we aren't even 2 years old yet! The vet told him that some cats' gums have a stronger reaction to plaque and tarter. Poor Pedro is apparently one of those cats. Anyway, he's home and still a little bit tipsy. I feel really bad, but I can't go anywhere near him 'cuz he stinks like the vet! It even made me hiss! Me! Sweet-little-kind-to-everyone Tina!! I'm going to have to pull myself together here...I don't want my brother to think I don't love him anymore!
Poor Pedro.

Looks like Pedro has recovered from his vet visit, and I have recovered from my momentary lapse of sweetness! I tell ya, he just stunk like that scary vet place! I couldn't help myself! Isaac didn't seem to care though, which is wierd, cuz everything bothers Isaac! Ah well, I think perhaps I lost my mind and he didn't because I was to the vet more times within my first year of life than Isaac has been in his 16 years of life!
Anyway...all is back to normal around here. Pedro has a new gel that he is supposed to put on his gums everyday to help fight the plaque and tarter problem he has. He's being a big wimp about it. That cry-baby has never had to take 3 medicines in one day like I had to!! Humph, boys aren't as tough as they think they are.

A place for "tudy tabbies!

Hi all!

Pedro and I decided to get out and find out where the action is on Catster this week. Boy did we ever find a lively bunch! The sign on the door said "Tabbies with 'Tudes. We looked at each other and said, "sounds like us, so why not?" So we went inside. Boy! Everybody was so nice! We met Sagan and Margret and Anne and Tigger and Meshew and lots of others. We were so happy we stopped by! When we got home, some of the kitties we met had even purred us paw mail to say welcome, and some had even decorated our pages. How nice is that?? Pedro and I have decided we definately need to get out more often!

Oh boy!

I think we might get a new sibling soon...mama's lost her mind again! She and dad went for their walk tonight and mom came home carrying a kitty! Mom put the kitty in a carrier and then made lots of phone calls. Of course I listened in. Seems that there is a group of feral kitties at the park where mom and dad go to walk. They stop to visit the kitties at the end of every walk. Tonight when they stopped, there was a poor pathetic kitty up in a tree wailing for all she was worth. Clearly she was not a feral and clearly she was scared to death. Mom was mad while she was talking on the phone, wondering how people can be so cruel and/or just plain dumb. Here is a beautiful champagne and white tabby kitty who is just sweet as can be and can't be more than 3 months old...just dumped off like garbage to fend for herself with a group of 15+ ferals. No wonder the poor girl was up a tree!! Well, it seems that dad climbed the tree to get her and she actually reached out for dad to save her. She got on his shoulder and sat there happy as a clam while he climbed back down. She let mom carry her all the way back to our house, about 3/4 of a mile, just purring all the way.

Well, after a few phone calls, mom got our uncle to agree to house our girl until she can be tested for all those bad diseases that could be passed on to us. Our uncle doesn't have any pets right now, so off in the carrier she went. I'm told the lil' girl just settled right in. Used the litter box a.s.a.p, had a drink, some dinner, and went to sleep. Poor baby. What a scary day she had. I sure hope we can make her days ahead better.
