Mom went with her friend for a nice long walk this morning, on the paved bike trail here....SAW a SNAKE ugggggg, but otherwise a beautiful spring morning. It's now cooling off and dark clouds are moving in. According to the weather forecast, SOMETHING is on it's way, severe thunderstorms, hail and possible tornadoes. Mom has all our carriers ready, wish we had a basement but the most interior spot in the house will have to do.
Stay safe everyone.
Hugs, GJ

Greystone, a Tennessee kitty furriend, has tagged me and asked me to tell what makes me happy in the springtime. It's taken me a few days to write as Mom has been sad after losing her good friend last week.
What makes me happy....
Generally, I try to take joy in each day, I especially do this after my health scare last year.
In the Springtime I love watching the birdies return, there were dozens of robins in the yard a couple weeks ago-a harbinger of Spring.
Yesterday, it was warm enough for me to go out on the screened porch for the first time this year and I had a puddle of sunshine to enjoy in the afternoon.
I love the fresh mountain air when when the windows are open.
I like to watch Mom work outside, she enjoys this.
I like to laugh when Mom startles the resident black snake and screeches, hehehehe,it resides in the back corner by the garden. Mom has made peace with it as it is territorial and helps keep venomous snakes away. Mom has learned to use a rake when moving straw, mulch etc.
Spring is a beautiful time of year, everyone enjoy.
Love, Jack

It is the end of winter here on the mountain and the beginning of spring, daffodils blooming, trees budding out and life goes on.
Mom lost another good friend this week, C. had struggled and fought the good fight for 3 years against that insidious disease, cancer. Mom loves a poem Dad wrote long ago; "The Spring I didn't see is the one I miss the most." C. was a lover of the outdoors, beautiful flowers and took joy in life. She will be greatly missed.
Life goes on, Mom and Dad are going to a Celtic Fair tomorrow and are going by the garden center to buy mountain laurel to plant as a memorial.
Hugs and purrs from GJ
