I wanted a playmate and snuggle buddy for Jack, who thinks he's still a kitten. Whisper doesn't like him, so we promised him a kitten to play with and snuggle. We went to the local SPCA, and the moment I walked in the enclosure, Persephone (Blacky) walked off the shelter workers shoulders onto my chest and started rolling around under my chin loving on me and drooling. So we adopted her.
