Sadness All Around....

Cole crossed the Rainbow Bridge yesterday 2-1-12 at 12:14pm CST.She passed peacefully here at home while Mom was holding her and telling her that she loved her very much. We're all pretty depressed here.

Ethan: Does NOT have a hairball stuck in her gut. The mass is actually a tumor. Her time is short.

Misky: She is fading quickly and will probably pass soon.

PeeWee: Has become ill in the last few days and it doesn't appear that she will be with us much longer either.


So...all in all...I am so sad and extremely angry that so many of my friends are being taken from us.

Today...

We fondly remember our sweet Ashley Mae on the day that would have been her 20th birthday. It's hard to believe that she left us almost three years ago. (3-17-09) Not a day goes by that we don't think of her and all of our friends that have crossed The Rainbow Bridge.

It's still pretty quiet around here since Cole crossed that beautiful bridge on 2-1-12...just 26 days short of her 19th birthday.

A number of us have health issues as we have gotten older. Things that have gotten more difficult to treat and to watch happen. I'm only 5.5 yrs old and I've got my lung stuff that can be difficult,but it's being handled quickly and appropriately as soon as symptoms appear. Lily is 4,Dutch is 2.5, and Moosh is 1...aside from us four...everyone else is over the age of nine.

Lots of tough days ahead of us. As always,we will stick together for love,support,and great understanding as things happen.

Happy Birthday Cole...

I hope that you had a very happy birthday with the rest of our "herd" that crossed the Rainbow Bridge before you made it there. Ethan and Misky will probably be joining you soon. :(

It's been a very quiet sad day here. We miss you so much. The rest of the gang is still grieving and hurting without you. They're working through that...it's just hard and we all need time. You are FOREVER in our hearts.

Sorry I'm so late with this entry to my diary thingy. March 1st was a really tough day here. We fondly remembered Garth (on what would have been his 20th birthday) and Baby who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on that day. They both crossed that beautiful bridge in 1995.

We are still having a really hard time adjusting to the loss of our beloved Cole. Ethan and Misky are both also running short on time. It's NOT FAIR!!!!!!

Mom has been very ill for a number of years as well and has taken a turn for the worse. She has just spent a week getting I.V. meds,was feeling so much better,and just as the week ended....she got even sicker. Sooooooo she has to do a second week of I.V. meds. She's got one of those I.V. things wrapped up on her left arm. They've had to stick her 3 or 4 times every day to get an I.V. in. She looks like she's been beat up. I feel so badly for her. We need our Mom. Without her...(hang on...I'm fighting back tears....)

Wow. Just. WOW. We all feel so overwhelmed with everything.

So here we sit....at almost 4:30 AM CST. Mom really should be in bed resting,but...gee whiz she is feeling awful and just can't sleep even though she needs to be back at the hospital in a matter of a few short hours to get her meds.

Ya know I don't ask for much,but could you all send positive thoughts to our house. we need all the help that we can get.

Ok...Mom just told me that she's gonna try to get some sleep so I need to head to bed with her and about 6 or 7 of my fur family.

And to Catster: Once again I am very humbled and grateful that you chose lil ol me to be DDP again. Much love and respect to you.

It's a very sad day here.

With a very heavy heart I just wanted to let our friends know that our beloved Ethan crossed The Rainbow Bridge this morning...4/4/12 @ 9:09AM.

Happy Birthday Ethan. You would have been 17 yrs old today. We're all missing you a lot and it's pretty sad around here since you crossed the Rainbow Bridge just 10 days ago.

You know that we are all struggling to grasp the loss of Cole,Misky,and you so close together. We know that you all are in a much better place now,feeling like kittens again and enjoying being re-united with all of our other fur family that are there with you guys too. Give everyone our love.

Have a fun day today on your special day and always know that you are,and always will be,very loved and missed.

Happy Birthday To......

Boo and PeeWee (AKA THE Boopinator and her sister THE Wee-kitten)!!!!!!

Since it is after midnight here,(1:15AM CST) it is 4/30/12 which is Boo & Wee's birthday....and of course I'm up too late.

That's been a very common thing around here. We're up late A LOT. As my regular readers are aware,we've really been having a rather tough year and we are ALL struggling here. With the losses of Cole,Misky,and Ethan so close together it has us all pretty stressed. Things just seem so empty and wrong as our friends have passed. *SAD SIGH* Unfortunately,more sadness and change is coming. Toby is really showing his 18 plus years and sweet Missy who was in the beginning stages of hepatic failure,but was doing well,really took the passing of her Mother,Misky,quite hard. Her illness has progressed quite rapidly and I fear that her time with us is growing very short indeed.

On 4/27 we very quietly and respectfully remembered Alex,or Al or Chief,(as she was most commonly known) on the 7th anniversary of her journey to The Rainbow Bridge. She would have been 22 years old this June. I never got to meet her. I was born a year too late. The general consensus is that she was pretty darn awesome. R.I.P Chief. We love and miss you.

Soooooooooo........I hate to tell about so much sadness because I don't want to make anyone else feel bad. I'm not that kinda guy. You know me. I'm Jack Rooney,The Mipper,JackJack the jokester. But sometimes,it seems to help a little to be able to write about stuff and express myself. This growing up business is hard sometimes.

But I digress...back to Boo & Wee. There WILL be fresh picked catnip to be enjoyed. However,it could get interesting. Boo has a tendency to get rather possessive of the 'nip AND this will be Moosh's first 'nip experience. I suspect that some of us will be getting nail trims before any 'nip comes in the house...just sayin'.

Ummmm what else? OH!! Sitting in the window today getting some fresh air and watching birds and lo and behold we see cardinals! They are beautiful. That was pretty cool that they just sat there...until Moosh starts chattering and scared them away.

Ok. I guess that's about it.

Breaking News.....

Moosh is back to MooshDORK status...

During today's birthday celebration for Boo and Wee,we got lotsa fresh picked 'nip. This was his first exposure to the first fresh picked 'nip of the season. He thought it was disgusting. Granted,it was strong 'nip. The rest of us had a blast. I think Ben still has a few green spots on him from rolling around in the leaves so much. Moosh laid down and just stared at us all like we were beyond weird. Mom handed him a nice leaf and he ran away from it....so I ATE it! nom nom nom He has no idea how much fun a herd of cats rolling in 'nip is!

It was a good day. We had fun and Moosh is a stick in the mud. Oh well...to each his own I guess.........
