Life with a high maintenance brother

Finally I have a place to express myself! Sometimes it is hard living with brother who is always stealing the show, demanding all the attention, and getting into trouble. I swear Marvin has ADD. I am such a good boy, my Mommy tells me so. I just love to cuddle, get tummy rubs and purr. However this is usually ruined by Marvin. I'll be snuggled up with Mommy or Daddy and Marvin will just come and jump on my head or push me out of the way and start speed kneading. I know he just wants attention and love but this can be really annoying when I want to relax! Maybe someday Marvin will grow up and calm down, but until then I'll just have to put up with him..... after all he is my brother.

My visit to the vet

Yesterday Mommy and Daddy took me to the vet and she told them that I was a very "substantial" kitten, but not in a muscular way. I think she was trying to tell them that I was fat! My Mommy didn't know how I could be fat already since I am just 6 months old. I know I eat alot and don't exercise very much, but why would I want to? If we're playing with the stringy toy, I don't have to chase it... it eventually comes to me. If Marvin is exploring, I just let him go do all the work. If he finds anything interesting he'll let me know.
This morning I heard Mommy and Daddy talking about an exercise program for me... and I heard them call me lazy! I don't know what they expect from me. I'm not training for the Olympics you know. I'm perfectly content with the leisurely lifestyle I've chosen for myself. So what if I have a bit of a tummy, I'm not trying to impress anyone.

Another trip to the vet

Last night my Mommy took me to that awful place again... you know, the vet's. I really don't like it there. The vet tried to be all nice to me, giving me treats and a catnip pillow but I didn't accept, I was already on to her. Marvin ran all around the office like there was nothing to worry about, but I knew what was coming. She was sneaky, I'll give her that... replacing the top of the cat carrier with a blanket so I wouldn't notice, and then wham! she got me with a needle. I let her know I was displeased, I can hiss with the best of them. Mommy finally took us home, I was so relieved. I hope I never have to go back there again....

Christmas!

Boy I have to say I enjoyed Christmas, this is my first one you know! I don't know who thought of it but what a holiday, everything a kitty could want. I got to watch snowflakes from the window. Daddy put one of these tree things in the great room, it is so much fun. I can dip my paws in the tree water, play with the lights, knock ornaments off the tree and of course jump on the crinkly presents. I even got a stocking full of toys and catnip, heaven!

Treats

Mmmmm.....yummy, somebody left me a whole bunch of treats. They must have known how much I like them! Thanks alot!

Catster Plus Membership!

Something very exciting happened this week. Isa gave me a Catster Plus Membership as a present with 4 other lucky kitties! She is such a generous kitty! I am so excited, now my Mommy can put up more pictures of me, fancy up our pages more and give out Rosettes. This is a dream come true and a very nice early Birthday present!

I've Been Tagged

1. I'm in love with this new fuzzy blanket my Mommy bought, I only like to sit on it, nothing else. I love it so much I will knead it for hours.
2. I rarely meow, I only make little squeals and trills which Mommy says are "Ewok sounds".
3. The only time Mommy has ever heard me make a loud noise is at the vet. When they gave me a needle I let out the most blood curdling scream my Mommy has ever heard. Needless to say she was very surprised (see fact #2).
4. I wait patiently in the morning for Mommy to get ready, when she finally says "treat time" I will let out a squeal of joy and sprint to the kitchen and wait for my morning plate of wet food.
5. When I want attention and Mommy is sitting on the couch I will jump back and forth in front of her until I get the attention I require.
6. My Mommy calls me princess even though I am a boy, but I deserve it...I can't help it if I am royalty in a fur coat.
7. Some people who have visited my home have mistaken me for a bunny rabbit. It is because if I don't like them I sprint up the stairs so fast all they see is a streak of fluffy butt with no tail!

Mommy all week long!

What a great week last week. My Mommy was sick and had to stay at home with us all week long. Don't get me wrong, I am not happy that she was sick but this unfortunate circumstance worked out for my benefit :) It was such a dreamy pleasure to be able to fall asleep wedged up against her legs as she dozed on the couch all day long and to get a few belly rubs as she briefly gained consciouscness. Ah yes, this is the life! The sad part about this is that it all had to come to an end, she is back at work again this week. I can look on the bright side I guess. She will sick again, it is a fact of life. And I will be there to cash in on the benefits!

I'm glad Halloween is over...

Yes, you heard me, I'm glad it is over. First of all Mommy tried to put me in a Halloween costume, that wasn't going to happen! Secondly Mommy dressed up for Halloween and put this weird feather thing on her head. It freaked me out. And she wanted to get a picture of me with her with that thing on her head! Sometimes she is crazy, I finally had to go and hide under the bed until the whole thing was over. Marvin on the other hand thought it was cool and let her pick him up. Sometimes that brother of mine is weird. But I am glad to say that things are back to normal and all costumes are put away.
