Meownardo Pussilini, Sweeper, Little Voice, and the inevitable variations on Moose: Mooster, Moosehead, Moosepaws, Moosejaw and Moosilini

Quick Bio:
-cat rescue

Coloration:
Silver Tabby

Likes:
Opening presents...it seemed delightful at Christmas when he tore into his own presents, but when we realized that he fails to distinguish between his own presents and ours...or between presents and anything paper....yikes

Pet-Peeves:
The vaccuum cleaner that will not die, despite his frequent attempts. However, many a vaccuum cleaner bag has emitted its last dusty breath under assault of his claws and teeth

Favorite Toy:
He loves his snake. It was a present from his Uncle Richard and Aunt Pam, who rescued him from the coyotes. The snake has withstood every effort on his part to vanquish it. Bravo snake!

Favorite Nap Spot:
In my arms, of course, he's a real Cuddle-Moose...oops, another nickname

Favorite Food:
rabbit! I think he developed a taste for it when he was surviving in the wilds of Cincinnati. He licks his lips longingly and frequently whenever he sees Rupert, the rabbit who lives in my backyard

Skills:
Olympic gold medalist and world record holder in fastest time to unroll a roll of toilet paper. Co-gold medalist in the Civic Holiday Weekend Freestyle Toilet Paper Competition.

Dwells:
indoors

Arrival Story:
The Moose immigrated to Canada from the US, where he was abandoned in the woods near my sister's home in Cincinnati. We don't really know his age, best guess was about 18 months at the time his Uncle Richard rescued him. We celebrate his birthday on Canadian Thanksgiving: that's when the Moose and I first met, and I agreed to give him a much-needed home. I've never looked back- he fills my life with love and happiness, and enough shredded paper to nestle himself in for the rest of his remaining three lives!

Lives Remaining:
3 of 9

I've Been On Catster Since:

Life with Moose

A New Moose Nest

Moose has a new house, well, it's a tent actually, a funny sort of cat with whiskers and a tail. Not really expecting the Moose to like this thing, I was surprised that he was fighting for entry before I even had it fully opened. He loves it, and I've grown rather fond of it myself. Moose is quite the "housekeeper," he works long and hard rounding up all of his toys (and he mas many) and places them all carefully inside the house. There is usually just enough room left for him to join his toys, curl up and nap after his efforts. It is so nice to walk through my rooms without tripping over toys and hearing an assortment of cheeps, whirrs and squeaks! And when I go to another room, he leaps from his tent, grabs it tail in his teeth, and follows me. Unfortunately, I have yet to snap a picture of this too funny sight, I'm too busy laughing. Funniest of all is when I go to bed...yes, he tries to get it up the stairs! Such a sight to look down upon his struggling cat butt, splendid waving tail and the crazy bright blue cat tent.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Moose had a very Merry Christmas! I would like to thank Clawde for the excellent idea of the gift of TP. We were all royally entertained watching Moose tear into the most exciting thing he'd ever found under the tree...what was truly funny was that he was very cautious approaching all of his little gifts. Even with our encouragement, he was apprehensive about ripping into them.
Clearly, all those weeks of hearing the word "NO" every time he went near a gift had an impact. I always knew that he recognized the word, but being the willful cat that he is, he just ignored it.
However, when he spotted the roll of TP under the tree, there was no hesitation. The TP was shredded in moments, he clearly has not lost any of his skills. It was great fun for Uncle Richard and Aunt Pam to finally see the TP athlete in top form. We managed to capture some of the fun on "film," hope you enjoy the new pictures.
The Moose and I would like to extend special Christmas greetings to all of the wonderful friends we have made through Catster. Merry Christmas, Frohe Weihnachten and best wishes for a great New Year.
Sincerely,
Moose and Me

The vaccuum cleaner has finally succumbed! Moose has won. I have to buy a new vaccuum cleaner.......bagless and Moose-proof, if such a thing exists.
