indoors and outdoors Arrival Story: Tripper started showing up for food, stealing leftover catfood on our deck. Our backyard opens out into Open Space, and we'd see him come in from the park, but only glimpses -- the minute he even sensed we were looking at him, he bolted back into the park. (A lot of cats are abandoned near the park, so ferals are not unusual.) We worked hard at getting him to trust us, and now we can pet him, pick him up and even get him to come in the house. Actually, it's hard to get him out of the house once he's in. He is extremely affectionate, and starved for attention. He's a very sweet cat. He holds the Guiness Book of World Records record for time required to take off and lose a collar: 7.3 seonds. We won't be dressing him up any time soon.
