Arrival Story: My handicapped Manx with spina-bifida, we were begged to take her. I was hesitant at first because I didn't know if I could provide the care she would need. My three Manxes are all sisters from three different litters, same momma, a Cymric Manx. Sasha's handicap does not stop her from enjoying life. She is not aware that she is any different. Baby, big sister is 25 pounds! I tell the vet to not say in front of her that she is "obese", but to use the term, "full-figured" or, "voluptuous". She squeaks and chirps and is a head butter. They have been shown on the website crazyforkitties as kitty stars of the week.
Bio: We have seven cats in all. Three of them are outdoor. The Manx sisters are indoor cats. Baby is the oldest being five years old, Sasha is four and Sweetpea is a few months younger.
Lives Remaining: 9 of 9

All three of us sisters had our very first baths! Even though we are not used to ever having a bath, we always were curious and we keep our momma and daddy company in the bathroom because we always wondered what it would be like to get a "bathie" as mom calls them. Our sister Sasha has a skin allergy so mom decided to bath her first to see and check if we had any fleas that were adding to the problem. Well, she didn't find one flea on any of us! Not only did it rid us quicker of our winter coats, boy did we ever feel wonderful and frisky and happy after our bathies!! We didn't struggle the whole time because we trust our mommy that she would never do anything to harm us anyhow and the warm water felt wonderful. We never go outside so we are not dirty but it did still make us feel cleaner than we ever have it our whole lives and that just makes us want to kick up our heels and run through the house and eat our tuna treats for being good!
Because I am so big and my bum is so big, when I go potty, it is not unusual for my big bum to hang over plopping the poopy over the side of the litter pan. My mum keeps a plastic thingy under the litter pan in case that happens so the rug don't get soiled. What I don't like and it is very embarrassing, when my mum catches me going poopy and my bum is hanging over the side, she calls out for her grandkids come and watch her be the champion kitty poopie catcher! She puts the pooper scooper under my bum and catches my poopie when I go over the side! She tells the grandkids to always remember that for a funny memory when they grow up that their grandma was a champion kitty poopie catcher! I am so embarrassed and humiliated!
Baby is so cute and warm and cuddly. Her tummy drapes down over her back feet in that sitting position that reminds us of Jabba the Hut of Star Wars. I tell her that she is blubberlicious and I call her "her highness blubberiness". She runs and hides when anybody different besides dad and I cme in the house. It is hilarious to see her tummy sway back and forth under her when she moves quickley away. She is so shy. Her double coat is so thick that every day since the warm weather is here, I have to comb her so she dont' get so many furballs. She loves to play that game, "don't touch my bum!", when I use Inspector Clouso's accent from the Pink Panther, "don't touch my beeeumm". She has a stump on her rear end instead of a full tail. It is a game for me to try to touch or grab it and say, 'don't touch my beeeum" while she turns to grab my hand with her mouth and give me a light bite. She knows what "cheekies" means also. When I say, "cheekies", she knows I am going to scratch and rub her cheeks which she absolutely loves. She is the biggest cat we have ever had while her two sisters are only half her size. She walks very dainty despite her size, like she is tip toeing through the tulips.
