alone i wait

today started like most week days. i awoke and thought about how great i am. moving to rob's pillow, i checked out the window. one never knows when something spectacular will happen. i have a strange feeling it will happen on my street. i'll be ready!

rob's stupid cell phone goes off with multiple ringers at different times... he is soo lazy! fortunately for him he doesn't depend on midamerican energy to wake up in the morning. the power went out like its 1925 and james got to sleep in a bit. my friend maple sleeps in anyway. i got some attention before they left, but none that i deserve. at least rob lets me know that he's going to work and will be home this evening.

so far today, maple and i have taken a few naps. checked the windows every 15 minutes or so, played tag, and of course eaten. the sun came out which i like cuz there is more activity outside for me to watch. now i lie here waiting for someone to come home. perhaps in my next dream i will be chasing squirrels and bugs out back. my paws grow tired from typing... the day is half over, i think i deserve another nap.

most days i only sit in front of a computer monitor and walk on the keyboard to annoy rob when he's trying to use it. now i have a site that i will visit when he's not around. someone is trying to collect all things cute! this may seem like a lofty goal, but i'm hooked. beware to those that are cold-hearted, these pics are really cute and you might freak out!

the doors

so what is it with these blockades between rooms. accomplishes nothing and always causing problems. i'm always getting shut in closets. just last night i was shut in the computer room when rob wanted to go to bed. fortunately for me, i'm pretty good at pawing the door and meowing. and what's with closing the bed room door? it seems like someone always closes a door when i need to be on the other side! some ppl are soo inconsiderate!
