Likes: Teasing other cats, meowling really loud at all hours of the night.
Pet-Peeves: Stranger cats outside in his yard (even though he's an indoor cat).
Favorite Toy: Anything that moves
Favorite Nap Spot: Under the chair in the kitchen.
Favorite Food: Dry and canned cat food
Skills: He is a polydactyl and he is very skillfull with those toes (he has 24 of them, 7 on each front paw and 5 on each back paw).
Arrival Story: Was found in our backyard as tiny kitten. When he was brought into the
house, I thought something was wrong with his paws. Upon a closer look, I exclaimed, "Oh my gosh! Look how many toes he has!" And that, dear kittehs, is how he got his name.
Bio: He is a loud meower and could win the award for The Loudest Meow. In fact, he uses that loud meow skill at night when everyone is in bed trying to sleep. Thoughts of strangling him do enter the sleepy mind!
Well lookie here!
Yours truly is CAT OF THE DAY!!
How kewl is that?!
I don't think I've ever been anything here
in Catsterland, so this is pretty amazing.
Mom got all sorts of happy when she saw the
e-mail stating I was the chosen one. She's
one proud mama when one of her babies is up
there on the homepage or at Diary Central.
All this excitement wore me out, so I guess
I'll go grab 40 winks under my favorite chair.
I called at 10:30 this morning to check on the
Manytoes situation and he had not wanted to pee.
The doctor had to express his bladder twice.
Well, heck, Manytoes! Do you wanna come home or
not!? So, I was told to give him a little more
time and call back at 3:00. Okaaaaay...so I
called back and he was ready to come home. He
had decided to PEE! Good! Now I can bring him
We get there and the vet said Manytoes chose not
to pee in the cat litter in the cage, but on the
cage floor...thus, all over his back end and feet!
Ooooo, stubborn cat.
Paid the bill...deja vu...and brought his stinky
(literally!) butt home...finally!
Got home and I had to give half of his body (the
rear part) a bath, dried him off a bit and put
him in the back room by himself so he can rest
and not be bothered by any dog or cat. Oh, and
he peed in the litter box as soon as I put him
He sure is happy to be home and I can tell he
feels so much better...he's even being super,
super nice (not that he's mean-he's not).
So now he has to eat a special diet. Does anyone
know of a good over the counter cat food for
urinary health for the others? Because I know
he'll get into whatever the other kitties are
eating from time to time and I rather be safe
than sorry about him and food.
Thanks again, everyone, for your thoughts and
prayers for Manytoes.
We love and appreciate you all!
P.S. Don't tell Manytoes I told you all about
the 'stinky pee accident'! Don't want to
embarrass him in front of his pals!! MOL!
Well kits and peeps...Manytoes has a urethra
Got him in this morning at 8:45. Had to leave
him there. Haven't got a call yet to see if I
have to pick him up or not.
Man, when it rains it pours.
Forrest (pup) had to get surgery last Monday
on a melanoma on his hip. Results came in
Before that, it was Redford (pup). Got diagnosed
Continue to keep us all in your prayers that
there will be NO MORE surprises. I don't think
we can take much more of this.
UPDATE: I just called the vet. Manytoes has
to stay overnight. He's been unblocked and he's
doing better, but...(there's always a but) in
order to come home, he has to pee...and he
hasn't wanted to. Probably too freaked out to
do it, 'cause he was MIGHTY freaked out this
