Arrival Story: Calvin was my aunt's beloved cat. When she passed away, her evil husband took all 4 of her cats to the Humane Society the day after the funeral. I "bought" all 4 of them back - found homes for 3 and kept him! He is a great cat, and I know why she loved him so much. Calvin made his journey to the bridge on October 26th at 11:35 a.m. after a six week battle with stomach cancer. Rest in peace, sweet angel. We will love and miss your precious face. July 19, 1991 - October 26, 2009
Bio: Calvin is the most affectionate cat I've ever been around. He would spend all day in your lap if he could! He loves to snuggle at night and capture any body heat he can. We had to buy a king-sized bed because of Calvin.
Clocks are not needed in our house since we got Calvin. He is the morning alarm clock. And you know if he is sitting in the kitchen by the refrigerator, it must be 3:30 p.m. With Calvin, you can't just give a spontaneous treat because then he will expect it every day at the same time! Calvin also sleeps in the cutest positions. His mommy says, "you can't get any cuter than that" about the way he sleeps! For an older cat he is always ready for fun, and he has quite an adventureous spirit.

Wowza, there is little time for rest up here at the bridge. Since I got on the Welcome Committee, that rainbow has been blinking a lot!
I had to grab my Catster sign and hightail it to the gate tonight when Skinner journeyed to the bridge.
After getting his heart basket, and running over to meet me, we sat down and got to know each other. Skinner is one handsome dude, and he sure had a rough time in his life - first as a stray, and then with different illnesses.
But, now he is done with being sick and can play and run free at the bridge - and chillax at the Catster Club tonight!
Skinner told me that he has to watch over Chelsea Louise because that is his sweetheart. I told him I would help him do that because CL is a pawsome friend girl of mine.
So, if you have a minute, stop by Skinner's page and send his family some love because I know they are going to miss him.
When you've been at the bridge for three weeks like I have, the Committee Manager comes and asks if you want to be on a committee.
I decided that the Welcome Committee sounded like fun. Today was my first day on the job. I was given a big sign that had Catster written on it.
When a cat is making their journey to the bridge, and they are about to approach the gate, the rainbow flashes on and off. That is the signal for the Welcome Committee and all the angels to get in place.
When I saw the rainbow flashing, I grabbed my Catster sign and went to the main gate. There were other committee members holding signs too . . . . . I Can Has Cheezeburger, LOL Cats, Strays.
It was really crowded today, and I was looking to see if any Catster pals were coming through the gate. And then I saw her . . . . . Lola was Kung Fu dancing through the gate and getting her heart basket.
I waved my Catster sign and she came running over to meet me. I told her I really didn't want to see her, but since she was here, we were going to have a pawsome time until we see our families again one day!
And then Scooter and SooLing came by, and I knew Lola was going to be just fine.
Wowza, I think the Diary Gal likes me more as an angel because she has been picking me a lot lately!
It is a pretty cool view up here at the bridge, and the bestest part is being able to check on all my pals when I go to the Internet Cafe'. Since there are so many Catsters up here, we have to sign up for computer time. If you don't get a turn one day, then you find out all the scoop when you go to The Catster Club at night.
And you thought being at the rainbow was one big catnap! We do get in some major snooze time, but there is a lot to do with being a guardian angel and stuff like that.
So, today I want to tell you about some pals that you need to think about this week.
The first one is Scooter's sister, Lola. She is pulling a Calvin and not eating like she should. Her parents are very concerned about her, and we sure don't need her up here yet, so keep her in your purrs!
Then there is our pal, Louis LeBeau who is going to have surgery on the 24th to remove a bump that shouldn't be on his side. His Mommy is very worried, so I know he would appreciate some purrs.
Of course, I'm keeping a special watch over Gleek. I sure didn't teach him right on the art of pill taking. He has been taking his pills without much of a fuss. What is wrong with him? Doesn't he know you're supposed to hide the pill in your cheek and then spit it out? He won't know much about what condition his condition is in until he finishes up three weeks' worth of pills.
We're having a birthday party today for Jules Vern. I hear there is going to be a brusselball tournament, so I've got to get going!
Oh, and I wanted to let Mawmee know that the beautiful orange sky she has been seeing at night for the past week are courtesy of me!
