Arrival Story: Calvin was my aunt's beloved cat. When she passed away, her evil husband took all 4 of her cats to the Humane Society the day after the funeral. I "bought" all 4 of them back - found homes for 3 and kept him! He is a great cat, and I know why she loved him so much. Calvin made his journey to the bridge on October 26th at 11:35 a.m. after a six week battle with stomach cancer. Rest in peace, sweet angel. We will love and miss your precious face. July 19, 1991 - October 26, 2009
Bio: Calvin is the most affectionate cat I've ever been around. He would spend all day in your lap if he could! He loves to snuggle at night and capture any body heat he can. We had to buy a king-sized bed because of Calvin.
Clocks are not needed in our house since we got Calvin. He is the morning alarm clock. And you know if he is sitting in the kitchen by the refrigerator, it must be 3:30 p.m. With Calvin, you can't just give a spontaneous treat because then he will expect it every day at the same time! Calvin also sleeps in the cutest positions. His mommy says, "you can't get any cuter than that" about the way he sleeps! For an older cat he is always ready for fun, and he has quite an adventureous spirit.
Hi pals! I want to thank all of you for remembering my Rainbow Bridge Day. It's hard to believe it has been four years since I made my journey. As you all know, I've been keeping very busy as an angel.
I was sad to see my sister, Samoa, make her journey, but just as I suspected, she is already setting up a boa shop and sending feathers down to people.
I know you all have heard about the recent journey of our friend, Kaci Sunshine.
I also wanted to let you know that our pal, Smudge, has made her journey. She is no longer on Catster, but I know you remember her brother, Bob. Smudge and Bob were very active back when we all first joined Catster. Her Mommy is very sad, but we're taking good care of Smudge. If you are on Facebook, be sure to stop by and send some love her way (Joanne Lee).
Another pal that just journeyed to the bridge is Simba. Simba's family used to be really active back in the day too, so I know they would appreciate your stopping by and showing some love.
Keep on purring for all those kitties who are sick and need purrs, and we'll keep on doing our job up here at the bridge!
Thank you, pals, for celebrating another birthday with me. I sure appreciate all the pretty presents on my page, and the special pictures made by Rory, and Pipo and Minko!
My 10th life at the bridge has been filled with lots of fun. Sure, it is sad at times when pals have to leave their families and journey to the bridge. But, we're always happy to welcome them and get them started on their 10th life.
And as you all know, birthdays at the bridge can only mean one thing - bowling night! And since today is my birthday, I'm going to share with you another little bridge secret about our bowling nights.
Tonight is glow bowling night. When you have a birthday, you can request regular bowling or glow bowling. Regular bowling is when we make a lot of noise. Our families on earth hear it and it sounds like thunder, but it is just us bowling!
Now, glow bowling is entirely different. Act like you don't know about it when you get up here, but glow bowling is very quiet. The balls and pins are padded, but the pins have magical lights inside them.
When the padded ball hits one of the magical pins, they light up! Down on earth, it looks like lightening - the kind you see in the distance. Up here in the bowling alley, the lights are colorful and sparkly!
Mawmee and Daddy are seeing some of that lightening in the distance tonight. They know it is my big bowling night. And they still miss me. I think they will always miss me.
I was very sad when I got the news earlier today to get ready for a special arrival at the bridge. Everycat's pal, Skeezix, made his journey tonight.
Wowza, whose life hasn't been changed by Skeezix? Back in the old days of Catster, we had so many fun parties and contests with Skeez. He is a legend in the blogosphere. Cats all over the world know about things like vishus deer, kyoot clothes, and urjes because of Skeez!
His Food Lady and Mr. Tasty Face are going to be very sad that he is no longer on earth. But, I know it won't be long before they will feel his angel dust and the flutter of his wings. And what wings they will be! I know a very special pink pair will be waiting at the tailor shop for him.
If you have time, please stop over at Skeezyville and leave a comment.
All your angel pals welcome you to the bridge, Skeezix. We're gonna take very good care of you until the day you see your family once again. Love is forever . . . . .
