Happy New Year?

I'm back at home after spending the holidays at my grandpawrent's house while my people were in Europe having a jolly-good time. I gave my grandpawrent's loads of grief, and now I am at home I am giving my people a shed-load of grief too. This is because I gots a huge problem with my tummy. I have mega-colon and it hurts to poo. I'm a naughty cat and when I can, I poo wherever I want. Today I really upset everybody because I pee-ed in Afro Ken's new tunnel that he got for christmas(I have a bad habit of peeing inapropriately too sometimes). My vet has suggested accupunture as a last resort befor the dreaded surgery as we have tried all the medines and remedies, but I'm not going to let anyone poke me with anything! Dudes, I'm getting really freaked out by my people right now. They are not happy with me, but it's not my fault. I can't help it.

Mo' Belly Ache, Mo' Problems

Thanks Munky and Jack Kayden for your comments. Angel Jack, I dig what you are meowing, and I don't like getting into trouble, but I don't know how else to tell my people how much I hurt. Piddling in inapropriate places really gets the message across like nothing else :-/
Now I'm not allowed in the bedroom at all. One of my favourite things to do was to snuggle up in my mum's long hair on her pillow at night, but the other night I got caught crying in the closet while having a poo on one of her handbags and the door has been closed to me ever since.
I don't even bother joining my people in the shower any more and I used to love my showers. I just stay curled up in my stroller for most of the day, (my eXtreme stroller is my fave place to take cat naps and so we always keep it up in a corner for me). My mum took me from my stroller and insisted I visited with her for cuddles, but I just hissed a few times and did one back to my stroller. I used to love cuddles and lots of them.
I will be going back to the vet very soon. I can feels it.

My New Life

Life has been really hard for me lately, and it seemed like everyone wanted me put to sleep. Even the vet suggested it, and everyone who mum talked to about me thought it would be “for the best”. My mum doesn't want to hear it. My toilet habits are basically downright disgusting and it was impossible for my people to keep a clean house. There had to be some solution.

Now I have lost my rights to roam and I had to move into my own place. Tobey’s Crib rocks! I have been confined in rooms before but I am not treating this room like that because I know what a special place it is for me. Let me tell you all about it! It is pink! Bright pink =D I have two big windows and both of my big cedar trees are next to them so I can look out in style. I also have both of my rides set up; my Mean Green Machine and my Extreme Machine I like to take catnaps in them and dream of nice weather to go outside strolling. I also have the essentials like litter box, toys, etc. I have to share the room with a bunch of book shelves, a server rack and computer desk, but I’m cool with that. The computer monitor shows fish swimming around and I like that.

I have my rainbow maker which casts colours all over my room that I like to chase after, but I would also like to decorate my pad with some cool disco lighting that will be visually stimulating. I have a couple of lava lamps in there, so I think I should definitely have a mirror ball too. I’m loving the décor, I have a shelf with my Hello Kitty collection, and another shelf with my other important things like my naked mole rats, my Garfield, a toy cat my mum made for me, my snakes and my Furby. I have more of my snake collection dangling around my room along with my collection of monkeys.

My people want me to get better and hope giving me my own room will help me. I have to learn how to use the litter box all the time again. My people had boxes all over the house before and it didn’t help. Now I am in my own place, I thought it would be nice to get a new mod-con self-cleaning box. Hopefully that will help me. They also want to bring in a bunch of cat-friendly plants for me. It would be cool to really pimp my crib with a zen garden, but I think I will have a salt rock light and a small water fountain as well as my drinking fountain. A bubble machine might be freaking pawsome too.

I want to get better and show my people that I can be good about using my litter box so they will give me back my rights to roam again. Until then, I will make the most of my new crib and when the weather gets nice again, I can go outside in my enclosure and go strolling too.

Settling Into My New Home

I've been settling into my new home and I am quite content. I do miss my roaming rights but I enjoy it when I have company. I was let out of my room twice on the first day, and both times the first thing I did was wee on the floor. Now I've been in there a few days and I still have accidents, but I am happy to report that I have been using my litter box too. I really want a self-cleaning litter box, because I think I might like that. My people have to research them and find a good one, that is affordable. (If any Catsters have any info/advice- please meow me!) Also I, or Afro Ken need a new drinking fountain because there is only one in this house and we can no longer share. I think I'm getting to be quite high maintenance these days. But I'm worth it, aren't I?

Thank you to every cat who has sent me advice and suggestions to my problem. I totally appreciate all your help, dudes. I'll tell you what's occurring: I have Megacolon. For over two years now, my people, along with my regular vet and a specialist, have been trying to manage it with meds and special food, and we're at a point now where my poo is how it should be. But I still have issues "going". I cry, and go in places that I shouldn't- like all the time. I am happy to report that since I have been in my new room, I have been peeing in my box. I really love the Feliway plug-in suggestion and yesterday my people went looking in town to buy some, but the shops in Duluth are rubbish and they didn't have any. -I shall get my people to look Online. I have the regular Feliway but I think I am imune to it now as it no longer keeps me off the furniture, or chills me out on car rides to the vet.
Before I was confined to my room we had litter boxes all over the house, it was embarrassing but my people had to give me as many options as they could. Now, I am thinking a self-cleaning litter box is an option that is worth trying. So far, the Litter Robot seems the best.

Living with MegaColon

I have been quite content living in my new pink room of kitty frivolity. I am happy to announce that I have been wee-ing in my litter box! I've had some accidents where I have poo-ed outside of my litter-box, but since I have now got the Comfort Zone plug-in, and had a re-arrangement of litter boxes, I have had no accidents! Mee-OwW! This means that I am allowed to roam around most of the house and hang out with my family when they are home. I sleep in my room at night, and I hang out in there whenever my people go out, or whenever I make any signal that I am about to have an 'episode'. Bit by bit, we are learning how to handle this better. The room has been a massive improvement and has prompted my people to get a head start on spring-cleaning the rest of the house. So yeah, thank me for that.

Who Let The Dogs Out?

Hehe- So it was only the other day when I was bragging to Afro Ken's Dogster pal Zaidie abut how I like dogs, and how I don't 'get' all this "dogs vs cats" nonsense here on Catster- because after all, we all have four legs and a tail. No need to H8 and discriminate, and all that... Well! I've only gone and got myself a new doggy house-mate! My people are dog-sitting him for a few days. He's a massive lab/shepherd mix and his name is Durban. Our house is like a pet hotel because we all have our own rooms. Durban sleeps in the room next to mine.
I've hissed and flailed at him a bit to show him who's the boss around here (me) and I make sure to keep my eyes on him as much as I can. I like watching him. I stole some of his kibble too, and it's yummy. My people say I am FOMO, which means I have a "fear of missing out" but I think Durban and Ken are more FOMO than me. Whateverrrr!!

Countdown To My Birthday!

It is my birthday on Thursday and I can't wait! I have found the place where my presents are hidden because I am naughty and like to root around for stuff, but I can't figure out what my presents are because they are wrapped up. I suppose I will have to wait 'till my birthday before I can get my paws on them.

I have been doing very well. My people spoke to my vet and he is very happy for me. I hang out in my room at night, or when no one is home, or whenever I make a certain type of noise (because that means I'm going to poo). I have the Feliway plug-in which I love. We got our paws on some Cat Attract litter too, but I haven't tried it yet. I hardly ever have accidents outside of my box, but I know the Cat Attract should change that to never having another accident outside my box.
It is a problem that I still try and steal Afro Kens food and that is not helping me get better. It's his fault because his food is so yummy.

Now spring is here, I have been going outside in my enclosure. I get to watch the world go by and I enjoy the fresh air. Meeow!

Happy Birthday To Me!

I'm a big boy today because it is my birthday! I am 7 years old! I like being the centre of attention so I will be sure to make the most of this special day :-)
I got presents! I got a big bumper pack of my fave toys ever -squiggles! I also got a bubble machine!! I love bubbles and I shall have loads of fun playing with them inside and out. Today is a lovely day so I hope to go for a birthday stroll in my eXtreme stroller. Then I might chill out for a bit in my outdoor enclosure and play with bubbles.
I'm very happy and I'm dealing with my health issues so well.

My Outdoor Enclosure

Thank you to all my pals who helped make my birthday so special! I had a great day!

Today is a most excellent spring day so I am hanging out in my outdoor enclosure. I love it out here because it is a safe way for me to be outside and enjoy the fresh air. I have toys, and danglies to play with as well as my cat tent and my own summer house. I have been doing some eXtreme bird watching today. Afro Ken is also hanging out here with me for a bit which is cool. I have put up a couple of photos of me in my enclosure. This summer, we hope to work on it some more by building up It will be pawsome when it has perches and places to climb and hide.

Today is a special day here and at the rainbow bridge- because it is the sweet Rocky Anns birthday. I hope all her angel wishes come true!
